Who saw Resident Evil: Apocalypse? It just came out tonight and it was good but the first one was better as most movies tend to be with sequals. Milla Jovovich kicked some serious zombie ass in the movie. Your thoughts.

yea it's too blatantly toronto for my liking...i mean im such a HUGE fan of resident evil, i'm honoured they picked t.o. to be racoon city, but it makes it harder to fall into the story when you see a bunch of places you recognize. a relative worked on the fake zombie heads...ya know the ones that explode and what not...but im still highly disappointed in teh first one, and from what i've seen of the second one, it looks like its gonna blow. romero would have been much better off filming this, or perhaps the japanesse guy who first started the r.e. series. the movies just seem too...hollywood for me to get into them.

Your right. There are less implications about the infamous T-Virus. More action. Still an interesting movie, just not as good as the first.

okay, i just saw this movie tonight, and clearly if you thought the first resident evil was better you didnt play the games. i was thoroughly impressed with this movie. it stuck much more to the whole plot of resident evil, and had much better production. the zombies still lacked a touch but were overall much better than the first. and it wasnt half as corny as i thought it would be (except for the obligitory stereotypical black character)
i had heard awful things about this movie and was not walking into there with high expectations but i was caught off gaurd. i recant anything negative i had prior said about this movie.
if you've played all the games you'll notice a lot of the scenes they did were taken directly out of the game and very well done a that (much unlike house of the dead).

    it gets a thumbs up

Two thumbs way up from me, damn good movie!!! I loved it, beginning to end. I loved the first one too, but this one was...just awesome. I particularly enjoyed the game similarities. Even the outfits, exact same from the game. Great game, great movie, great franchise. :)

This movie is for the Fanboys & girls out there.

I liked the Resident Evil games, but the movies insult my intelligence. I actually felt myself getting dumber the longer I stayed in the theater.

Hmm, let's use the "Action Flick Formula"...

2 Scantily Clad Chicks with Guns + 1 Unrealistic Atomic Explosion (dude, that helicopter would be nothing but ashes, and you know it!!! :p ) + One Funny Black Guy for Comic Relief = A Sure-fire Hit???
