    what is the minimum number of cfls i could use to grow one plant
    my space right now is about a square foot1/2 2 feet high but soon to get bigger.
    also what is the minimum wattage i would need.

    go 2 home depot they sell 100w cfl flood lights... I use 1 of those and 2 smaller tube flouros 2 veg and ad 3 65w cfl warm color spot light bulbs. My buds come out light and fluffly and dank as hell. I would post pics but I dont post through a proxy... oh and my cab only 3' high 2' wide and 18" deep. pc fans for circulation. good luck!

    The lumen output is the the best measurement of light output not wattage (a 26w CLF can produce the same as a 60w incandescent bulb.)
    From what I have read the minimum you need is 1000 lumen's per square foot of grow space.. I currently have about 3000 for my one plant.
    I use CFL's because of their low operating tempiture and low power use. You do have to keep the bulbs close to the plant.

    hey i used 42 watt cfls & i had like 5 on 3 plants just about 3 in. away & i think they dried out & got burnt anyone else have this problem? i was growing in my closet & had a little fan in there too, my closet is prolly 3'x5'x9'
