I start getting into a dream, but then all of the sudden i wake up. Then i sit there thinking about the dream for awhile trying to figure out what was going on and see if i could dream about it again. But why do I dream of something and when it gets interesting it stops and I wake up?

Because it's telling you something (often) about the transit between your dreaming reality and your waking reality. And also sometimes the dream has just come to a natural conclusion and it's time to wake up so you can remember it, whereas if you were to keep on dreaming about other stuff and THEN wake up, you ,may not remember the important bit.

But it happens so often, last night it happened again but it was the same dream 3 times in a row then the 4th time it was a different dream. Most of my dreams are pretty stupid and if it is trying to tell me something I dont know what it could be :(

Try writing them down so you don't forget them, then see if you there is some recuring theme or event that you can find.

When I'm lucid and realize I'm dreaming, that often causes me to wake up. Is that what happened to you?

I dont know there are sometimes i know im dreaming then wake up, but its not always like that. Ill be in a dream and just randomly I wake up. Any color, Ill start doing that I suppose and if I do find a recurring event do what do I do? Just focus on that one event and see what it could mean, because in most of my dreams I either have my girlfriend in them or I dream of stuff i saw that day. Yesterday I saw a videos of a weird fish and then when I went to bed that fish bit me >.>. Or there was another when I was playing a video game and later that night I was playing in it.

percussive snoring is one possibility. brief sharp short and not repeated outside noise of some sort is another.

dreams can take place in much shorter outside, this world time, then the subjective time that passes within them. sometimes an outside noise will both stimulate and terminate them.

I'll admit i've had a couple of pretty strange dreams involving the PC games i was playing at the time. There's something i get with the background music of games where when i'm not actually playing the game, i still hear the music. It takes a while to wear off.

ok well last night I woke up a couple times, and had several dreams. But one stood out. I had a dream about me and my girlfriend and we got in a argument, and we were fighting for awhile then i woke up.Turned for about 2 mins then went back to sleep and my dream started off after the argument and continued from there. I have been writing down the dreams that I can remember after I wake up down in a notebook, but I notice that this never happened before? Does this mean something? Because I honestly like when my dreams are like this because its a story kinda and I want to know if i can possible do this again?

hey,,,i get these a lot, it be like watching a movie and then the adverts come on for a while,,,ive even get up to make a cuppa,,,then the movie re-starts again. huh? i tend to end up with sleep paralysis when theyre scary nightmares, thats when i don't want to go back to bed again.
so what is the transit trying to say ? i dont know.

I don't know mine wasn't a movie and it didn't replay it over again it contiued. I wake up from a dream and I know I was awake then went back to sleep and started in the place of the dream where I left off.

yeh i done that too like being in a movie, being a part, and then i wake up, and then i can go back into the same dream, exactly where it left off. it dont have to be a nightmare, i could be walking in the lovely hills or something,,, then i can get up even, then find i'm back there finishing the scene.

i remember a time when i was little, and i was being chased by lightning, i kept waking up and going back into the dream,,,,i ran to a house, (one i never knew, but i knew the street),,,and hid in the garden,,,,it happened loads of times, i kept having the same dream. and in the same garden,,,,i now live in the exact same house. on the exact same street. arrrgghh
i also remember being chased by lightning and getting struck,, i woke up and then went back in the dream,,, i was still sitting there frazzled,,,a few days later wierd things started to happen...whooo
well i been dreaming of lighteneing again.....arrrgghh...

I've had those continuing dreams. It's always cool when it happens. If when you wake up you want to go back into it, try closing your eyes again and meditating on the last scene you remember. I've found I can sometimes bring my dreams back that way.
