I also think it's rather offensive to suggest that now a days, that gay men are the biggest carries of AIDS/HIV, so why bother taking their blood. I mean come on now. They may be the biggest carries, but heterosexual couples transferring the disease are fallowing close behind, and there have studies that even say now that young teenage girls, are most at risk of getting AIDS/HIV, so really, wait six months, test the blood, and then people aren't being discriminated against and more people can help other people.
I gave blood once and never did it again. It didn't feel right to let some stranger stab a needle in your vein and start "blooding" you, as though you were a blood producing cattle. As for a Gay giving blood. I believe that their answers on the questionare should determine if they should or shouldn't give blood. Not everyone can give blood. But I think a Gay should have the right.
