Rolling a joint with a dollar bill?

Believe it or not, I've never learned to roll a blunt or a joint well. They're always too loose. A friend suggested I roll a J with a dollar bill and it's working better for me, but I still have one problem I can't quite figure out. The ends are always too loose and some of the weed falls out or gets pulled through when you take a hit. Is there a way to fix this? I used to use the boat method when rolling Js where you tuck the corners in to avoid spillage. Would that work this way?

 

rolling joints when ur a beginner always takes time and practice. be patient. dont smoke 1 dollar bills thats just a waste and i think it might have unhealthy chemicals. Just buy rolling papers and keep on practicing. Eventually you will get it right. Maybe the method you were taught is too hard or maybe wrong. Try using ur imagination for a new kinda roll, u never know wat comes up!

its a joint rolling technique using a dollar bill, u roll up the weed in a bill makin it nice and tight by rollin it with ur thumbs, then u stick a paper in there and start rolling the weed on the paper... then u take out the joint, lick it, stick it, and smoke...

what u might wanna do is fold the end of it so the joint looks like an L or J. then with the mouthpart just lightly twist the end... haha this thread made me laugh. thx!

 

Practice is what you need. Just grind it up and fill the paper from end to end evenly. The ole dollar trick is the poor man's rolling machine.

 

I thought they were using the bill as rolling paper at first.

The dollar bill method, using outside the paper to tighten it up then taking the joint out, has never worked well for me. to one his own

I've rolled a few different ways, and you always find new tricks and ways to make yourself better. Buy a pack on Bugular cig tobacco. it's like $1.30 and comes with papers. Smoke it or don't, it's cheap and you can just keep retrying.

 

I can roll pretty damn decent, smokable joints, thanks to a dollar bill method. I do it differently though.
I roll the joint first. It's usually close to tight enough, just a little uneven, or the tiniest bit loose. Then I place the joint at the end of the bill and roll it in there (similar to how you would roll a joint). Gets it tighter, and smoothes out all the kinks. Makes my joints AWESOME.

If there's loose weed threatening to fall out, I use my clip to push it up nice and cozy in there. You can twist the burning end.

 

after rolling it, get a pencil or anything thin enough, then use that to pack the bud on both sides..be careful though! and use the weed that fell out during rolling to pack more in there. just dont pack it to the very very end or you can't hit it that great.
now you have a nicely fitted j to smoke to your dome.

 

And for the problem of getting weed in your mouth...once your joints rolled(i do it before but i dont want to explain it now) roll up a piece of thick paper, like a 3x5 card or construction paper into a little spiral. You need to trim this 'crutch' so that its like .5 inch by 1 inch. You should be left with a tight spiral of paper thats .5 inch long from one open end to the other. When this piece of paper is still rolled up tight, place it in the mouth end of your joint. Once you dont have your hand on this crutch anymore it will expand(beacuse its been rolled into a tight spiral) and make a nice mouthpiece for your joint. Make sure you dont smoke this though, but the weed should go out before it hits the crutch. If this doesnt make sense ill post a pic upon request

 

do you have any idea how fucking dirty dollar bills are? i would never roll my nice bud in that. get rolling papers, or something else.

 

get one of those jar opener things, the rubber grippy bendy ones that are cheap. it will hold the paper securely, and it won't slip out of your fingers. roll it up like making a jelly roll cake. you will still need to twist the ends, but I don't know how most people do it, and I am never paying close enough attention to my friends to tell you.

Before I learned how to roll reasonably well, I rolled around cigars, not only does it work a lot of the time. You also get some monster sized ones.

That would be pretty funny if you did make a joint out of a dollar bill (not saying you should), It'd be kinda like sticking it to the man. Haha...the irony.

ya man im not best at rolling, but best among friends. just pratice, i basically taught self. pratice makes perfect!

 

Get a cigarette and a pack of Rizlas. Keep practicing on rolling that and By the time your out of rizlas you ll be able roll the perfect joint ,haha. good luck.

 

You just gotta practice and figure out what way works best for you! I can roll some amazing joints, but suck at blunts...
