alright, im working on an extremely complicated video game, and i want it to be truly a work of art, and iv noticed that plot lines are often horrible for video games. I want yal to come up with any plot line for characters in a game, no matter how in or out of the norm, however strange, however traditional, i want em all! PLEASE!
I don't have any ideas right now. But if you do that, that's awesome. I hope it will be for the xbox.
really, you make actual video games? what system is it for or do you not know yet? i have no idea man, i really like the plot line of final fantasy for some reason though, i'm sure you've played that before... hmmm... maybe you could save the world form nuclear destruction, or you could be apart of a small group of people who survived most of the worlds destruction and create a new world and have jobs, and meet other people eventually who survived in different areas of the world
the game is going to be for computer most likely, as it is being done by just me and a few friends. in the end i dont expect to make any money off it, unless the big companies want to buy it (in which case il sell to playstation 2 ) since i wont worry about money, il just get a copyright, buy a website adress and put the game on it as the entire game, anyone can play free of charge, i might have ads though if its popular (if i make it as well as im planning there is NO WAY in hell it wont be popular) BTW its called Travellar
i dont know who the vandals are, but i know a lot about code writing and stuff, and i am also taking a class on it so i can become much better, in the meantime i am planning out the whole thing
the class is actually in my highschool, so i can take it for free. writing code isnt too hard, it just takes lots o patience.
Before I come up with some brilliant plot lines I think it would be a great idea to know what kind of game it is going to be.
are there going to be fancy graphics like those of or close to the modern systems, or are you just writing the code for the sequence of events and dialogue and stuff?? when i was younger and played more video games, mainly rpg's (the best game ever is ff3) i often wish they would come out with a super rpg that was like 10 discs and 300 hours of gameplay with the most intricate story there was, and with todays graphics, just make the thing a real work of art. a lot of people out there dont think of video games as a form of art, which many games are not, but some are and i think theres a lot of potential for awsome things to be created within the medium
you might like this game mountainman. it is a work of art, and should be a large game that can be played indefinitly. the class system is a tree branch, starting with one choice and ending with around 50. these are radically different classes from an angel to s shopkeeper. it combines different genres, such as a sim business style for shopkeepers or a combat system for an angel. There are skill and abilities for every class and it gets even more complex than that. It should be simple enough when your playing it, but its complex as hell to explain it all. the graphic will probly be snes style, as i am designing it mostly myself and cant do complex stuff yet
I'll give you a plot line for 50% of the gross from all versions of the videogame, as well as any and all spinoffs and merchandising.
you seem to be pretty enthusiastic about this project, but i doubt a high school course will prepare you for what you plan on doing. this reminds me of the game i made in high school. hehe, what a peice of crap.
visual basic 6, oh and to the guy that thought it would be very hard or impossible for me to write it with high school training, you should know i have no intention of completing in the next... 8 years or so, maybe in 25 years, after much further training. the reason im spending so much time on it is that i can feel that this is the thing i was put on earth to do.
heres an idea, the year is 2009 and the us has become a fascist dictatorship. a young man in a small town in middle america must start an armed revolt, and battle cops, national guard, feds and rival rebel groups (or join forces with them). you must make strategic decisions and slowly liberate the country. and eventually uncover a conspiracy and battle the illuminati or some supernatural shadowy force. i would ideally want this idea to be put ahead with the highest production values possable. but the powers that be wouldnt let something of this nature exist and i dont think you could do it either.
