St. Patricks Day

Is Sunday and I am wicked excited! I'll probably go to the huge parade they have in Southie every year and possibly drink.
If your irish how do you celebrate? if not do you just use the day as an excuse to drink?

 

yeah, it's basically an excuse to drink for me.


i think i actually do have a little irish in me, but i don't celebrate the nationalities that i know i have, let alone the ones that i only suspect

I just use it as an excuse to get wasted.

 

i'm not irish, and i don't 'drink', i just like the color green.

and it ought to be called saint druid's day or saint danu's or something more like that.

or just irish kaylee day. yah i know that's not how any of its spelt. but if i did how it's supposed to be i wonder if anyone would know what i was talking about let alone how to pronounce it.

Tornado went through Atlanta so the parade has been called off.

 

yea, that is true...but for all partying purposes, its on sunday

I'm 8 months pregnant...no green beer for me.

 

I'm part Irish and I'll drink a beer for St Pat but I don't celebrate for the same reason I don't celebrate Columbus Day. Why would you glorify someone who had people tortured?

 

we also celebrate Evacuation Day


so needless to say, if i see a British person, i take them to the ocean

 

I can get behind that.

 

From an historical perspective evacuation day is much more important than st. paddy's day

Then again that same logic explains why the only folks who celebrate The Boston Massacre on March 5th are those involved in drive-by shootings in Dorchester and Roxbury
