If you're going to be swimming a lot, I would suggest getting a swimcap so they don't get soaked everytime, and using a hairdryer to get them dry. Just to avoid any potential mold issues that might arise if they're wet too often. And yeah, if they get wet, rinse them well after to get chlorine out. Should be fine otherwise!

It sounds like such a hastle to go swimming in a pool with dreadlocks... Maybe finding other methods of exercise would be better for you. I would be scared to death having all of those pool chemicals in my hair- especially for any lengthy amount of time.

I swim in a pool with my dreads. Just make sure you give your hair an extra good rince out after to get rid of all the chlorine.

Iv heard that saunas are really good for locks, aparently it steams out all the crap inside :)
worth a go. Id rinse those locks out good and proper after the swimming pool though, perhaps a deep clean

as for saunas...i found that a sauna/steam room really loosened my dreads, but they were fairly young then. if they're mature enough to cope with washing they should be alright. :)
