Ok this might seem random and hard to peice together but bear with me please. Ok I have been trying to fing a book that a read several years ago. I remember that the book involved a kid traveling to a different planet, wherein he was in a very "colour"ful world. (I remembered the use of colour rather then color). He runs into some interesting creatures who bring him to a place with other interesting creatures. I have no idea what he was supposed to be doing but he kept meeting all these new odd and very different looking beings. The end of the book explains how all worlds are made by different gods and each god looks over each of his planet. Does anyone, i repeat anyone have any idea what book i am talking about, what its called and who wrote it?
I am sorry TommyKnocker, I have no idea at the moment. But, it sounds incredibly interesting and I will ask in my book communities and see if anyone has any knowledge of the book.
One I found, which may be right or wrong for your purposes, is The Story of Colors by Subcomandante Marcos. The link to the story that I found about his book is http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9904E7D7103CF935A25756C0A96F958260 so that you can check it out for yourself. I will keep looking for you though, and see if it is something else.
go to the libaray, and ask the refercence libaraian about it. i have no doubt, there is someone who can answer your question, with such vague information as you have given here. i'm sorry, but i am not that person. one thing i can tell you though is, that the word "colour" is english, but not "american english," as you notice. whomever wrote that book was most likely not american.
