Did you know that St Patrick's Day was yesterday (March 15th), not tomorrow (the 17th)?

Seems the Catholic Church decided to move this holiday to avoid it falling within "Holy Week" (whatever that is).

Can't really see the worldwide Irish diaspora taking much notice, except possibly as an excuse to spread the celebrations over the entire weekend ...

Aye, our local had a bunch of revellers donned in guiness hats. Figured the pub had gone ahead with it then because it was a Saturday. But it's the church's doing is it? Well, there you go. Not the first time they've meddled in other people's celebrations though, let us not forget Christmas.

Yeah I heard about that. Weird. I just got back from class, and I'm getting ready to start drinking, and go out to the bar later!

St Patricks day. We all have to dress up as starfish. Easter is around the corner. Technically St patricks day is for Northern Ireland and Wales, I think. It is their bank holiday. But anyway, happy St Patricks day. Get drunk, totally hammered and don't lose your head.
