Every time I do any kind of psychedelic, but especially shrooms, I love to do Calculus or Biology. I know it sounds wierd, but I feel like when im tripping I understand everything. It sounds like its just a feeling, but I check my answers and usually im right. I'm a smart person, but usually it takes me awhile to understand something. Everytime i'm high though it's instantanious learning.
Psychedelics put you in conscious union with your subconscious. Your subconscious is like a biological supercomputer. It is constantly doing all sorts of extremely complex computations, even when you do something that seems as simple as walking. Seems plausible that being more in touch with parts of your brain you can't normally perceive would make you a lot better at math.
Low doses would maybe make them more interested in developing their minds. Or if they weren't mature enough to see the real point of psychedelics, they might just sit in class laughing at the pretty colors the whole time. They have been proven to treat cluster headaches though.
