i started making tracks with Fruity Loops (www.flstudio.com) its a pretty easy program to get used to. made some pretty descent beats and soundscapes with it... if u know where to look u can get it for free... :| or u can try the trial version for awhile.
Hi you two I tried fruity loops one and i didnt know where to find the synthesizers and it all was quite small and i have problems with my eyes so i deinstalled it, is that gotten better with ner versions?? Bye Salivrah
Hardware junkie myself. Use Sonar to sequence MIDI to my synths and record through an analog board. I'm a glutton for punishment/studio problems
I normally use FL Studio, normally it comes out pretty clean but can sometimes sound low budget. Reason is a more high end program, but also requires you to be able to play the keyboard and have a midi keyboard. (I am pretty sure about this atleast)
Well I've got all I can out of FL Studio 7, and played around with Reason before making a complete transfer to Ableton Live. However, I have recently been looking into and getting research on Cubase - although I hear that is an especially tough program to get to grips with. I wouldn't advise using FruityLoops, as it doesn't have much in the way of variety (especially when making PsyTrance) and if you get to the stage of wanting more out of your music, you'll have to re-adapt to a new user interface in a different (but nevertheless more efficient) program.
