There are few communes in the USA that have ben successful in the long term. The one that has been the most successful and effective is "The Farm" in Tennessee. Intentional communities here are either elitist religiously oe economically, others are having a hard time forming and others are no more than places to flop. Mostof them also have no idea what co-operation is, know how to grow food or grow enough food, practice communication and problem solving, and have lousy work ethic. Individualism has taken a perverse turn in this country. People rarely seem to interact on a face to face basis with one another and Political Correctness does not allow meaningful dialog. My husband and I keep seeking though and still hope our fellow citizens soon "get it".

tch Too bad some only go to their trigger points and do not read the whole. Finding like-mindedness has always been the main stumbling block for all intentionally forming communities for the growing of the Self. Too often we settle for less and wonder later what is wrong. Yet still we feel drawn to share, knowing that our greater growth comes when we share. And when of like mind, so much more can be done than solo. To find the like minded, we must first be Doing that which will draw them to us... we must first feed our Self and be True. T'is no one more able to be focused on the greater whole and thus such a treasure for community than those who have found their Way to be True to their Self. Blessings Namaste
yeah i have, it's nice there. But if you want to go there you have to keep in mind it's in the beginning fase so a lot is changing still, and you have to have an back for that. I think that if you are an open spirit, a lot of information is around because the people on the vlierhof are very interested in your info and the other way around. there are a lot of diverse people over there. It's intention is to be a love and light community, in the very big meaning of the word. They are trying to make something out of it, and at the moment they are asking a lot of volunteers.
