ah man, i bought this album aaaaaaages ago and loved it then, but then i lost the cd and was sad i just got it back again and have been playing it so much! we went to see them in newbury and it was awesome, am going to see them again in Manchester supporting Pitchshifter. i can't wait! Rock on!!! www.SikTh.com if anyone hasn't heard them, check them out because they are amazing. It's totally original, inspiring music. Metal never was this good before...serious. There's also weird prog jazz, spoken word on there, a poem at the end and beautiful melodic piano pieces in the middle. This is FAR from 'nu-metal', it's so much more interesting and talented it will leave you stunned. The album is called The trees are dead and dried out, wait for something wild and if you like it, maybe even if you don't at first, it'll just be going round and round in your cd player, on repeat!!! It's fantastic music. Jaz
Mikee (vocals) has got awesome dreads! Justin (singer) hasn't... Dan Foord (this is one of the most fantastic drummers i've ever seen) urm, no, i'm not obsessed.... Jaz
i helped sort their animated video, while i was on work experience, they rock, and i didnt even like metal (then!)... did u know theyre from st albans?...damn i used to play netball there...*reminisces her yuppy girls boarding school*
i really want to go see them with pictchshifter at manchester...my brother is at uni there so i was hoping i'd be able to stay at his and go home the next day...but i don't know what with college and stuff...but i really really want to see them at some point... i can't wait for their new album...
The cartoon vocals grate on me after a while, of the songs I've heard only "Such The Fool" isn't too long. "Millenium Night" has some quite beautiful passages ruined by that yammering fuckwit.
hehe cool! Josie, you should come to the Manchester gig with me! it would be awesome! i got my ticket already, it's £12, i don't know any pitchshifter, but i'm going to see Sikth anyway, so it's gonna rock... come on dude! Jaz
