I watched it on Much More Music ( the CAnadian VH1) and this was like 4-5 years ago, so i didn't get any of it, i acctually stopped watchuing like 20 min into it...

 

I think its the second best mockumentary, next only to spinal tap.

 

Love them.Got the sound track on vinyl recently, the songs, while being a perfect parody of the Beatles really stand up on there own as well as being funny as hell. Niel Innes (the Lennon character i think) is a brilliant songwriter

 

Maybe because it wasn't so oversold to me as Spinal Tap, I actually prefer The Rutles. It means more to me, whereas I thought they held back on Spinal Tap a lot.

8 Mile is funnier than both of them though.
