... is my poetic, drunken, stoned hero !!! I love jim Morrison, I think he has so many great words he has spoken, so many great theories, I just think he was an awesome person, probably an asshole, but what a great mind he had, his life, like that of Janis' and Hendrix' was cut short, but their legacy lives on. R.I.P Jim, Janis, and jimi. Peace, love, and rock n' roll !!!

P.S. I know some of u r going to say awful things about Morrison, I just ask n the name of love, that u not be rude, ur nasty comments r unwanted here. Lets keep the peace.
Love is alive, but sometimes hidden.

Died at the ripe age of 27. Such a loss of talent and beauty. I LOVE YOU JIM!

Anyone who says Jim Morrison was a poet should have to listen to Hyancith House for eternity. He was a drunkard who was obessed with native americans and nietzshce, like every other college student i know.

That was one song. Yes he drank a lot which led to his down fall. But he was more interested in death and chaos not native americans. Listen to "The End" such a beautiful song about a dark topic.

I used to be a fan of Jim Morrison, but soon realised the limit of his scope. He was really just a forunner of all the Gothic Rock gloom and doom music that was to come later on. That stance that Iggy Pop took hold of...the leather and the low singing voice and the droney music, that if he wasnt singing along to would have just sounded like The Seeds or one of the pop bands of the time.

Jim Morrison wouldnt have become so big if he hadnt died. While he was alive I imagine that the doors would have been seen in the same league as bands like The Strawberry Alarm Clock.

But its just like Joy Division got big once Ian Curtis died.

    Death creats legends.

    Its all Gothic crap!

I love Jim Morrison!!!.....for a start, and rather sadly on my part,he was a hot piece of ass!!! Jim Morrison was indeed a poet and had some great things to say, as a singer he also had a wonderful, beautiful voice. He was however a bit of an arse towards the end of his life ie, fighting with his girlfriend out in the street, drinking alot, getting himself arrested etc etc. However, while all that stuff did indeed happen, for me the music over-rides all the stupid things he did towards the end. R.I.P Jim Morrison :sunglasse -

Wait you wish others died early? That's pretty fucking morbid. As far as "the end" being beautiful. No, it's not. It's a spoof of Oedipus Rex, nothing more.

when i went to pere lachaise three years ago, there were two guards and didnt like it much when my cousin played a video on his camcorder of his tribute band to the people who were around, they said "turn that off!!"
    everyone was like "awwwwww"
