I'm going to the airport monday for a flight and I spilled some coke on my jacket today. I'm going to wash it before I wear it but I'm still worried. I want to know if a drug dog would still detect it, and would I get arrested or holded if I had no drugs on me?

If you wash the jacket they won't smell it. If you just wiped off the visibl coke, they would. I know a case where a drug dog alerted on a vacuum sealed bag of cash. Turns out, the dog had smelled the coke residue on all of the bills.

But of the dog alerted and you had nothing on you, and admitted to nothing, you would not be arrested. However, you would likely be strip searched and miss your flight.

Wash the jacket, you'll be fine. Why are you so worried about drug dogs at the airport? Is it an International airport? Are you leaving or entering the country? Do you have to go through customs?

Most of the dogs at regular continental airports within the US are bomb dogs, not drug dogs. The main concern is X-ray. But you're clean. No sweat.
