Am I the only one disappointed enough to point out that Bronson's post took him three steps back? He was almost on top of the world! Then this! Not good Bronson. Get better again. please.

well, i suppose you must be right. but i judge threads by the brilliance of the reponses and how many pages. i have to consider one against the other, as often brilliant reponses chase other people off. thus the thread becomes succinct and beautiful, whereas the banter in other threads can be the true joy. it's a complex system.

It was typical Bronson, but just not golden Bronson. At first, when he started making threads I just thought the guy was a douche. And I think the majority of the responses showed a tendency of RT along the same lines. But after reading a number of his threads I think the guy is just a funny funny dude. You look at his threads and he only gets two types of replies, the first are people telling him what a douche he is and the second is people writing complete nonsense replies in the exact same vein as he did the thread. But these responses are coming from people that I know are genuinely funny, or at least attempt to be, on a regular basis in RT. Fuck I’m one of them. The more I read his stuff the more comedic genius I see in them.

But this fucking thread is just uninspired and forced. It’s like he’s trying to regain his golden years, and knows that that’s the case, which makes his stuff seem all the more contrived. It reads like most of my posts do before I’ve had a few drinks to take the edge off. And for a dude that has pushed a few boundaries and done it the way he has wanted to do it, this thread is a real disappointment. It had potential! Pissing on a girls face for shit’s sake !!!! I don’t know where your mind went just after you read the title, but I was going to make fun of MollyBoston. I can’t even do that after reading what he wrote. So I’m forced to this bullshit.

Well I wasn't really going to make fun of her. That would be mean. I'm not mean. So that was a poor choice of words. But the response I was hoping to make was going to be based around her journal entries. Plus she's the kind of gal that could take a good natured ribbin'.

Thats like saying Bird's threads get old! Ok, fine. Bad example.

But really, its the underlying wit that makes Bird wonderful. Something very intangible that not many people have that can make something funny, even if its been said a million and one times before. In real life I'd call it timing, but on the internet its probably more my imagination .... which makes me really funny to me, I guess ..... and now I feel sad about life. thanks guys.

really though, while the threads may not get old, the posts themselves do, whether it's bronson pretending to be pissed at normal folk for no reason, or if it's bird saying his same tired jokes (no not all of bird's jokes are tired, but some certainly are)

 

what I like about Bronson's threads is that he never responds to anyones comments, and the pages just add up.
