Does palmrolling wet hair cause breakage at the root at all? Is it kinder to palm roll dry? Just curious...
I think it would be kinder to palmroll dry because hair is definitely weaker when it's wet... but palmrolling when it's wet works much better *because* the hair is weaker and more malleable. I don't think palmrolling dry hair would do much. I've palmrolled after moistening my hair with aloe, so that could be a good compromise? Oh... and I don't go that close to the root when I palmroll anyway since I've got about 2 inches of loose hair up there (which is typical). Sort of pointless. Palmrolling should be done in moderation regardless.
i would think wet would do the most good..i just never do it if i ever did was probly in just the 1st several weeks
i palmroll when wet coz as already said the hair is more 'malleable' and also helps dry them.. i also do it when dry just to try and keep them rounded and even. I promised myself I would do it every day but I'm way too lazy hehe
did everyday for 2 weeks. then it was once a week. once every 2 weeks. once a months.. uhm. never anymore =S or sometime i suddenly palmroll 1 and get bored. so to palmroll all my 60 dreads will take. uhm. 60 months or so =P
lol i got like hmmm 150-175 or who knows...average length like 5 feet or so..i dont got that many lifetimes to waste on such futile efforts
