What cities in California are still hip?

I need to know.

id head towards northern cali, or keep on goin up to oregon..

Speaking of northern california... Stop in Tulelake and speak to a man whos house is near the lava bads natl monument, if you hear the term Misso for Madoc you will be in the right spot, if you hit Klammeth Falls you've gone to far. The only reason I say speak to him is that hes family and a really great guy, he knew my cousin Tom Forcade(high times creator) and I love to mention his name. Lol.

Ojai is hip, but pricey.

 

I'm going to Berkeley, CA. Any info will be helpful.

 

Thousand Oaks and Westlake

 

do good in school.. get a scholership (see i did bad, can't even spell) i used to live in a tiny studio in berkeley.. they wanted 1,000 a month for that crappy apartment. none of the windows even closed all the way. no heater. tiny oven that you could barely fit a small pizza in.. it's pricey! maybe look on craigslist.. do some reseach.. it's not cheap.

 

Ha, ha! Those are actually 2 of the least hip places around!

 

Thousand oaks is like, a retirement community...I guess thats hip if you're into that sort of thing. I say Berkeley is pretty hip. Bay area is cool. Long Beach (certain parts). Pasadena...But look, even the "hip" places still have a bunch of douchebags there, and the prices are rediculous. I do enjoy my state though, but its just not as cool as everyone thinks.

the hip kids in cali are mostly just passin thru
they cant asfford to live there

bring a tent...camp in the woods
and have an escape plan
a way to get outta cali when ya cant afford to eat anymore

 

ahaha.. i've been trying to do this for years.. i'm a native and even tell people.. it's not as cool as you imagine! i'm bored with it myself.. but what choice do i have but to stay? maybe i could swim to fiji.

Ill contribute to that thread. Im pretty much stuck here until I finish college. At that point Ill probably move to WA or something.
