Yeah, I wanna make one. What parts baby spinach and what parts banana should I use? And should I add anything else? No one seems to have a spinach-banana recipe on the whole internet... I don't have any other fruit but some canned pineapple... I have soymilk, but it's plain. So yeah. Baby spinach and bananas. Go!

i love spinach and i love bananas, but that sounds truly disgusting.

eat the spinach with dinner, then have a banana for dessert! :D

I've never thought to make a smoothie out of the two, but it sounds like it might be good. I like sliced banana on a spinach salad, it's delicious. I'll have to try it next time I have both of them around.

My health teacher suggested it. Said she drank a smoothie every day made out of 2 cups of water, 2 cups of spinach and a banana. I don't believe her. I tried it and thought I was gonna die. Just wondering if someone else had tried spinach and banana and made it work, but it's okay. I found a spinach smoothie recipe that sounds a bit more promising... I think there's mango in it. Mmmmmmm, mango...

6 pitted prunes (dried plumbs), preferably preservative free. 1 cup apple juice. 1 banana. 1/2 cup granola. 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon, extra for dusting. 1 cup sheep's milk. 5 oz. sheep's milk yogurt. If you're not a prune fan then this dilicious drink will be a pleasant surpise, allowing you to make the most of the purnes' bowel-cleansing properties while enjoying the creamy flavor and nutty texture of the banans and granola. Cinnamon aids digestion and adds a deliciously warming spice flavor. Put the prunes and the apple juice in a small sauce pan and bring to a boil, then cover and simmer gently for five minutes until softened. Remove from heat and set aside to cool completely. Peel and slice the banana. Put in a blender with the prune mixture, granola, cinnamon, milk, and yogurt and blend until smooth. Serve dusted with a little extra cinnamon. Sheep's milk and sheep's milk yogurt are richer in nutrients such as calcium and magnesium, and easier to digest than cow's milk products.

That sounds good, but yer, I live in a dead-zone and would never be able to find sheep's milk. Will goat milk and yogurt do? That I have. :)

Goat's milk products are the most digestible of all milks and yogurts. Whether it's the ripest of fruit blended with a rich ice cream or dark chocolate warmed with mint-infused milk, topped with a swirl of whipped cream, it's all about quality.

2 cups strawberries, plus extra sliced strawberries to serve. 1 cup goat milk. 1/2 cup Greek yogurt. 2 scoops strawberry ice cream, plus extra to serve. 1 tablespoon strawberry syrup. Many brands of strawberry syrup taste quite artificial, so try and find a more natural syrup from a specialist food store or delicatessen. Hull the strawberries and put them in a blender with the milk, yogurt, and ice cream and blend until smooth. Drizzle the strawberry syrup around the inside edge of two highball glasses, so it can dribble down inside. Pour in the drink and serve with an extra scoop of ice cream and sliced strawberries on top. There are times when we all need a treat.

That sounds heavenly. I wish I'd had it when we went strawberry picking a few weeks ago... We still have a few bags frozen, but who knows what they taste like. :ack2:
And it's quite easy to make your own strawberry syrup. Just marinate some strawberries in maple syrup. It's what you do when you make strawberry shortcake! Yum...

LOL, hey it was my health teacher's idea! It's her fault for making me paranoid that we don't chew our greens well enough...
I did try it once, though, and got pretty sick from it. Didn't taste terrible, just was too rich I think.

i always throw a handful of spinach in my smoothies....

here's how i usually make my morning smoothie.... handful frozen baby spinach, half frozen banana, some frozen berries (blueberries, black raspberries, strawberries), a shot of aloe vera juice, about a cup of plain yogurt, and enough milk (i use rice) to make it thin enough for my liking.... blend it all.... and there you go.

I'm collecting these recipes, guys. This is great. I have a few really healthy ones of my own stashed away in a folder somewhere. I'll have to dig them out and post 'em.

if you know the source of your eggs, an egg added to the smoothie is an excellent addition for added protein....

2 cups strawberries or raspberries, or a mixture of both. 2 meringues, about 2 oz. 1/2 cup light cream. 1 cup organic milk. 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract. Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. For a more chunky texture blend for just a short burst.

You can create endless delicious drinks. To enhance absorption of the nutrients, chew the liquid to stimulate the production of saliva and digestive enzymes. 8 oz. fresh or frozen blueberries. 1 cup organic yogurt. 1 cup organic milk. 1/3 cup muesli. 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract. Happy blending.

Well, it's been over a year, but I tried again- this time with 3 1/2 cups baby spinach, 2 very ripe bananas and a cup and a half of rice milk (half a cup was vanilla, the rest was plain... we need to go shopping, lol). Loved it.
I split it with my stepdad. He said it looked like pond scum, but he sucked his glass dry.
