i myself believe everybody has the ability to speak to the dead and see the future i have experienced people singing and talking to me who arn't visible and have had slight preminitions for example alot of the time i know that i will bump into somebody i have not seen for a while before i actually do to any psychics here or to anyone with knowledge in this area how would you advise members like myself to open there 3rd eye even more and become more attuned with there own powers
Meditation is most helpful, I think. There are three meditations I recommend: 1. Expanded awareness - try to be aware of as many things at once as you can. Our mature adult minds are designed to screen our perceptions and thoughts. This is an advantage for logical thinking and planning, but it's a disadvantage for intuition and awareness. Think about what you're seeing, hearing, feeling, and thinking, try to keep awareness of all these things in your mind simultaneously, and then imagine expanding your awareness beyond your immediate surroundings to include your whole house/apartment, your neighborhood, your town...the earth, the solar system...etc. 2. Shutting off internal dialog - try to think no thoughts. The continual chattering of our conscious mind tends to overpower subtler part of our awareness. Try to think of nothing for several minutes at a time. If a thought comes up, don't be upset or try to squash it - consider what the thought was that came to you, then let it go and continue your meditation. Sometimes you MIGHT find there are thoughts or words that come into your mind that don't seem to originate from yourSELF... 3. Creative visualization - imagine yourself having psychic experiences, and consider these imaginations to be plans for your future. It's also helpful to keep a diary of your experiences while meditating, and especially of any experiences that seem to be psychic, to reinforce your intentions. Best of luck.
Also, I think it's important to use it everyday. Avoid stress and things that could block or hinder the flow of abilities. Meditation is great. I make up my own or allow my guides to take me where I should go during my sessions. But the sessions have been few and far-between lately, and I can tell... haha.
Can smoking weed be helpful? Can it make it worse or better, neutral? I personally find it to help clear my mind, but I dunno. Also, I don't mean to hijack this post, but it seems relevant... I always felt that I could be a psychic, but I am mildly skeptical of it... I mean... there are examples of me expecting who will call me even though I haven't heard of that person for months - It didn't surprise me... but I dunno if I am reading too much into it, though. Can anyone explain an experience that I had recently with a best friend of mine? I was wondering if it could be a psychic ability, or something else entirely. And I'm asking here, because I know no one else will take my experience seriously. Here is what I wrote in my other thread: "My best friend and I were high and chatted over the internet. While we were chatting, I felt my face merge into the part of the screen where the AIM chat window was displayed. As this was happening, I felt terrified, then at ease and I allowed the experience to take over me. The remarkable part of this story is that my friend experienced the same thing at the same time... him being 3,000k miles away from me, while communicating to each other via AIM. We both described the experience the same way. And before you test the validity of my best friends statement, I'll let you know that we have been very close friends for 9 years and we never lie to each other. If anyone is familiar with Dragon Ball Z, then think about Goku and Vegeta merging as one entity to form Gojeta. It felt as if my best friend and I were going to merge into one consciousness. If you don't know about Dragon Ball Z, then think about Mr. Spocks' mind meld ability from Star Trek..." Also, there was another time where I was about to write something in such a way that my best friend was going to write it. I actually 'heard' the sentence in my head, but I decided to write it another way. We both ended up writing a sentence with the same meaning behind it, differently, but at the same time... on top of that, my friend experienced the same thing as I did (was going to write his sentence in such a way).
zeppelin, I personally don't like weed, and haven't used it for over 30 years. But it affects people differently, and it's possible that for you it helps catalyze mind-melding experiences. I've experienced the mind-melding stuff on a few occasions. I consider my experiences to be psychic, so from my viewpoint yours must be psychic, too. And it's pretty cool and amazing, isn't it?
I've never tried weed, but other drugs and alcohol seem to block my intuition. So, I don't use. It's different for everyone. Same thing with diet. Some people feel that overly fatty foods and red meats mess them up. I have had this experience at times when I was being a real junk-food junkie and not getting enough balance.
