i am a first time grower and i have a plant that is just starting to bud and ive been reading all about harvesting. from what i have read u have to cut up the plant to harvest it. i was wondering if harvesting does kill the plant and if it does is there a way to do it without killing the plant
No you do not have to kill it. By leaving the bottom 1/3 intact (or so) you may apply a higher nitrogen fertilizer during watering (a veg nute btw - but do not over do it) and place it back under 18 - 24 hours of light to "regenerate it". After awhile you will see some crazy new growth coming from the little left over buds which form into new branches and etc....
whats your winters like?.....dec22 is the shortest day so you may not have enough daylight to keep it going.........it would budd itself out and die before next season..sorry ...................................Silverback
yeah i would suggest that if you're growing outdoors, then you'd be better off chopping it and growing anew next spring. it may be possible to bring it indoors and give it the more light it needs to go back into veg, but i have not tried this. just my opinion.
Well my man - unless you take some clones the answer is "no". But as the days grow longer you can give it a try and hope for the best.
