Hey guys, I have been really interested in Opium since this one guy offered to try it for free! I was wondering if it's pretty easy to grow in Canada and how I should go about growing it. Help is very much appreciated, thanks!
not feasible to grow poppies unless you have your own home with lots of space, you need alota of them and alota light and if you get busted its production of schedule I drug w, thats why they grow it in afghanistan and convert it to heroin and bring here, no one grows opium on production level scales in the us or canada okay well i was gunna stay alota stuff but my hand hit the backbutton just as i was about to click ok and its 2am so im not gunna retype it all lol
i'm not sure how the weather would work out there for yah. but the little fellas grow very easily. it's nice to give them a wintering period... but not required. you can harvest a very good sized amount of raw o from just a few plants. great for personal use
I don't think it would be worth the time to grow the plants and shit just for a couple pods... Might as well just buy the pods and do it that way.
its like people trying to make their own cars or something, it can be done, and may even be cheaper, but just go get yourself one from the dealer
trust me it's well worth it. each plant will shoot out 2-4 pods that you can milk atleast 3 times. get yourself a good 10-15 plants and you will be more than happy besides, it's not just about the opiate related benifits... the plants are fun to grow and once they get out of the lettuce peroid it's beautiful to watch the many stages of the life cycle.
Parts of Canada are great for growing P. somniferum. In fact some decent size growers that were selling pods and seeds on the net for years grew acres on their farm in B.C. Contrary to popular belief, opium poppies prefer cooler climates to thrive, especially when germinating. After germination and seedling stage it can get hot and they'll do well. Just try to germinate the seeds in a hot climate. High rate of failure. SWIM used to (way back in those days) sow his seed in early spring right on the late snow pack in northern latitudes. Yeah, just cast the seed right on top of the late spring snow!
