I've fantasized about getting baked and going to a theme park for several years but I just finally got the opportunity to take this idea for a test drive: In preparation, I made pot brownies (1/4g herb per "serving") and packed a duffle full of clothes, food, and water (I like to be prepared for anything). I made the brownies so that a) i wouldn't have to leave the park to smoke again and b) i wouldn't smell like weed or be in possession of weed and c) i'd be high all freakin' day--10+ hours (point c is redundant--see point a!). So off I went to Busch Gardens Tampa. I ate an entire brownie about 20 minutes before pulling into the amusement park, just as it opened for the day. I was practically tripping by the time I made it through the front gate. I was already seeing all sorts of "amusing" things, let me tell you.... I found myself to be amidst a magical world. Busch Gardens has an africa theme and there are live animals all over the place: i saw giraffes and black rhinos, the largest alligators i've ever seen, elephants and lions and zebras, and chimps and silverbacks, and so much more--I even got to touch a huge boa constrictor that had just shed its skin a few days prior. I wish I had a picture of how iridescent its rainbow-like skin was. Let me tell you, I was so high, just walking down a path that I forgot I was even at a thrill park. I was in some crazy african safari fantasy world. So in my newly rediscovered excitement, I set off to actually ride some shit.... Now I've actually been afraid of roller coasters since I was about six years old and went on a big, mean one that traumatized me for life. So I was a bit nervous about being in a famous roller coaster park. I decided to start off slow by riding The Phoenix, which is one of those big boat rides that swing back and forth giving you that free-falling sensation. Only this one actually went completely upside down--amazing. As soon as the boat started giving me that freefall sensation I became anxious because I was so incredibly stoned and for a second I thought that maybe I couldn't handle this kind of intensity. But I had two choices: to either resist the feeling and tense up, or to breathe. I chose the later, and, taking a long breath, melted into the glorious sensation. Afterward, I ended up riding every roller coaster in the park. And since I went during the week, there were no lines whatsoever, so I rode every coaster on the front row--felt like I was flying, especially on the ones that have you suspended beneath the steel rails (e.g. Montu). I even rode Sheikra, which is a rather insane roller coaster idea: 200 foot drop... straight down.... 70+ mph.... that was the most intense thrill I have every experienced in my life. I was so fucking high--I can't describe how amazing it felt. I rode that thing over and over on the front row so I could stare straight down the 200ft drop when the coaster would stall for 5 seconds just before dropping us.... this ride just about gave me an orgasm, no joke. I fantasize about doing this again. It was some of the greatest fun I've ever had in my life. The brownie was perfect for an entire day of practically-tripping magic. And I knew that no one would ever suspect a thing since not only was I wearing sunglasses to cover my horribly red eyes, but I was at an AMUSEMENT park. You're supposed to be fucking amused at these places! Boy, was I amused.... lol, I was wearing a hilarious shirt, too.... Anyway, I HIGHLY recommend trying this if you are someone who likes thrill rides and enjoys being stoned! I'd love to hear of others' experiences if anyone else has had similar times in theme parks!
