Hi brothers & sisters!! Me and my girfriend are looking for accomodation in your fantastic country! We are road juggles and we don't have a lot of money...so if you know someone who can give us hospitality or a very very cheap accomodation we could exchange again the favor accommodating you in our city Florence (Italy) when you want.. Every city will be perfect for us ( Amsterdam, Eindhoven, Rotterdam, etc..) You can contact us on this forum or on my e-mail address: berebebo@hotmail.com Thanks a lot.. Riccardo & Sonia
I'm sorry I don't have my own place yet so no place too stay...but (Maybe already know the website) check: http://www.hostelworld.com for cheap hostels. Check for small villages nearby the places you like to stay...that's cheaper. Or maybe you have a tent with you?? There are a lot of camping sites.... Anything more...just ask..
Thanks for your reply Which is the best part of Holland?? North or South?? Can you advise to us a lovely very cheap place (a little country, a city, everything but no Amsterdam because we went 2 times and we don't want to come back there) where we can relax for 7 days?? :sunglasse My flight will land in Eindhoven but I can move everywhere.... Cheers man see ya later
What do you like too do / see. Want too relax and see the nature (yes we still have some nature left in the Netherlands)...or want too see some nice small villages where tourists normally don't go to, or some nice bigger citys?? Do mind that october can be very rainy...so take something with you like a raincoat or something :&
Some tips of things worth seeing: Maastricht: is in the utmost south tip of the country... not that far away from Eindhoven. Lovely city, good atmosphere. A little bit more burgundic compared to Amsterdam. Veluwe: if you like nature, we have plenty of it. Spot wild animals, take long walks or bike trips. A city nearby would be Apeldoorn. Don't expect much excitement though... it's a dull place. But lovely if you're into nature and all that. Den Haag / The Hague: I am a bit partial here - it is the city I live in. I prefer its atmosphere above Amsterdam. Plenty of stuff to see and do, yet not as touristey as Amsterdam seems to be at times. We have a really good Stayokay hostel here I believe. More info on Stayokay is at http://www.stayokay.com/index.cfm?&lng=2 - as you can see, a wide collection of affordable hostels all over the country. If you decide to do visit The Hague, I'll hook you guys up with the best places in town! Hope this helps. Any questions, drop me a line!
If you talk about city's don't forget Utrecht and Amersfoort. But I will look up some smaller towns wich are very good (around Eindhoven) But the islands are very good too if you like nature...it's not so busy there during this part of the year..
Thanks a lot guys for your replies I think we don't have money to stay in hostels, so we are going to stay in campigsites....We read something about Den Haag and we think that it can be a good idea to go there... 3 days in Den Haag and 3 days in the north, in contact with the nature... On Friday I'll tell you where we decide to go.. In Den Haag are there reggae pub or reggae coffe shops?? I hope...... Bye Bye ps. sorry for my bad English
my opinion about going out in Den Haag isn't so good....it isn't really a student city. (correct me if i'm wrong) The city itself is nice...but not so nice as Maastricht (south), Groningen (north) I don't know if there coffee shops (reggae style) in Den Haag... Ok let me know where you are going on friday, yes
Amsterdam is not a typical 'student city' either - which counts for The Hague as well as Rotterdam. Some cities simply are a too big and have too big of a demographic difference between its inhabitants to be a student-run show in terms of going out, places to go and general atmosphere. If you know where to go you can surely find the student vibe in any city though - and especially in The Hague - just know where to go. And if you're really looking for a city having a student atmosphere you could always take a bus to Delft - it'll only take you fifteen minutes We have some theme nights in one of our finest coffeeshops here - Cremers. Some nights have a reggae-theme, it's hard to tell when those nights will be though. Their agenda seems to reply mostly on atmosphere in the place itself instead of what they publish to be playing.
Amsterdam not a student city?? I think there more students than in The Hague....more places too hang out...but ok...I like Utrecht the most. Delft is a great city yes!
Obviously more students. But do you think Amsterdam has a student vibe? I study in Amsterdam myself (UvA) and I really don't think it has that 'studentish' vibe cities like Delft, Utrecht and Leiden have. Not that I mind though
that is right...and I do not now much about the city. I've been too the 'Melkweg' a couple of times...and some other places... And worked there for a week or so (yes it's short) for school (internship) But Eindhoven must be a great city too for students (for what I heard from some people i've met on holiday)....I'm going too study there in a year or two.
Hi brothers!! I decided that when I'll arrive in Eindhoven I decide where to go... So i think I'll stay in the south... Bye Bye Bye
Hi guys!! I come back 3 days ago from your greeeeeeeeeeeeat country...... I went to Utrecht for 1 week, I slept in Camping De Berukuil...fantastic.... 4 days in tent (freeeeeeezzzzzzyyyyy brrrrrrr) & 3 days in a bungalow.... The city is nice, but I didn't know a lot of people....It was cold!!!! Here is still summer.....but here there aren't the fantastic things that you can buy in shops (marijuana, magicmushi and more).... I tried to send in an enveloppe some hash and it's arrived!!! Post are fantastic way to deliver everythings!! Bye bye friends
You went too Utrecht!!!! Nooooo, men you had too say that...than I could show you around!! Nice too know you've had a great time! It's a great city...I'm studying there...but badly not have my own place there.
