so, most people have the musicians they like that they neeeeever tell another living soul about. haha. as do i. i'm bored, waiting to get high later on, so i'm starting a thread where people tell us all the music they're embarassed to like. =] -NSYNC (looooove them. and i do NOT care!) -U2 -fall out boy (at least i admit the fact that i'm a total bandwagon fan. i just like their latest album. everything else, to me, is shit. lol.) -alanis morrisette (sp? ahaha) -INXS (alright, i say it anyway. i love them so much, it's just a band that a lotta folks make fun of me for!) >.< ok. that's my list. add.
HAHAHAHAHA i was an nsync fan growing up. I saw them in concert and totally touched Justins Shoe. Like OMG right?!?!?! haha I still like their early stuff. Daniel Bedinfield, Jon Secada.
Styx! I fucking LOVE Styx. I honestly can't understand people who say they have no talent and are just another crappy '80s group...maybe you don't dig Mr. Roboto, but that doesn't mean they don't have talent. Some of my favorite killer guitar riffs are in Styx songs. The Bee Gees...I went on an obsessive Bee Gees kick for about six months. And I love Rob Thomas. I'm not ashamed of any of these because in my opinion they have a lot of talent, but most people I know make the "ugh" face when I mention them.
GOO GOO DOLLS.... And you can't fight the tears that ain't coming Or the moment of truth in your lies When everything feels like the movies Yeah you bleed just to know you're alive And I don't want the world to see me 'Cause I don't think that they'd understand When everything's made to be broken I just want you to know who I am
Yeah I like the Goo Goo Dolls as well (though I kind of...hate the name) And Barenaked Ladies and Savage Garden.
some more i thought of- paul simon (but i'll say it to anyone, he's fucking AMAZING), and...haha...polka music! =D man, nsync was my very first concert. i screamed like a banshee....>.< and STYX ROCKS!!!! i saw them in concert in 2005......blew me away. i was literally speechless after the show. well over 2 hours, the volume was incredibly loud, they just put on an incredible show.
paul simon is awesome! lol i like him too and styx is a great band, who would be ashamed to like them?
I wouldnt say Im guilty about them, but the people I chill with look at me weird when I tell them I like Tool My Brightest Diamond Fiona Apple Peaches(I dont tell them about her) Zero 7 Coheed and Cambria Fall Out Boy(only some songs, like said above, their newest album) Panic! At the Disco(I dont tell them about these guys either, lol)
Zero 7 and fiona apple kick ass.. anyone who makes fun of their music has bad taste. Mandy moore is one I wont admit to liking.
lol, never heard a mandy moore song I thought she only acted. another one i tend to keep to myself is Paramore
Your Mom likes Tool? That is one cool ass mom, In my own words, she is a MILB(Mom Id Like to Befriend)
I pretty much don't care what people think of what I listen to. Here is one string (by artist) in my mp3 player: Ellis Paul David Rovics Keller Williams Red Dirt Rangers (doing Prince's 1999) Odetta Grateful Dead String Cheese Iain Campbell Smith (Aussie) Meatloaf Pure Prairie League Tabla Beat Science Kan'Nal Ozzy Yonder Mountain Air Supply. now, it's by business what I listen to, and if I want to have Colin Hay (Men at Work) next to Tool, I bloody will have it. Oh, wait, I do. My son and I share music all the time.
LOL. she likes Nine Inch Nails as well.. and music like that anyway, i also wait for people's surprised/amused reactions when i tell them i like meatloaf and men at work
Simon and Garfunkel is nothing to be embarrassed about! I think Paul Simon is one of the single most talented men alive.
