so, most people have the musicians they like that they neeeeever tell another living soul about. haha.

    as do i.
i'm bored, waiting to get high later on, so i'm starting a thread where people tell us all the music they're embarassed to like.
    =]

-NSYNC (looooove them. and i do NOT care!)
    -U2
-fall out boy (at least i admit the fact that i'm a total bandwagon fan. i just like their latest album. everything else, to me, is shit. lol.)
    -alanis morrisette (sp? ahaha)
-INXS (alright, i say it anyway. i love them so much, it's just a band that a lotta folks make fun of me for!)
    >.<

    ok. that's my list.

    add.

Styx! I fucking LOVE Styx. I honestly can't understand people who say they have no talent and are just another crappy '80s group...maybe you don't dig Mr. Roboto, but that doesn't mean they don't have talent. Some of my favorite killer guitar riffs are in Styx songs.

The Bee Gees...I went on an obsessive Bee Gees kick for about six months. And I love Rob Thomas.

I'm not ashamed of any of these because in my opinion they have a lot of talent, but most people I know make the "ugh" face when I mention them.

    GOO GOO DOLLS....
And you can't fight the tears that ain't coming
Or the moment of truth in your lies
When everything feels like the movies
Yeah you bleed just to know you're alive

And I don't want the world to see me
    'Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

I pretty much don't care what people think of what I listen to.
Here is one string (by artist) in my mp3 player:

    Ellis Paul
    David Rovics
    Keller Williams
Red Dirt Rangers (doing Prince's 1999)
    Odetta
    Grateful Dead
    String Cheese
    Iain Campbell Smith (Aussie)
    Meatloaf
    Pure Prairie League
    Tabla Beat Science
    Kan'Nal
    Ozzy
    Yonder Mountain
    Air Supply.

now, it's by business what I listen to, and if I want to have Colin Hay (Men at Work) next to Tool, I bloody will have it.
    Oh, wait, I do.

My son and I share music all the time.

Simon and Garfunkel is nothing to be embarrassed about! I think Paul Simon is one of the single most talented men alive.
