agreed... I hate the idea of water costing money; its required for survival, and one of the most abundant resource on the planet.

I don't drink bottled water, mainly because it's not regulated. Tap is generally much safer to drink.

You can never know what is in either one... they discovered traces of drugs in the water and the water companies tried to cover it up. Then that one bottled water ended up being tap.

But...it's not. Only 2% of the world's water is drinkable. But yeah, I read about all the traces of drugs in the tapwater. :D free drugs!~ But some of them are like hormones and stuff. That can mess you up. And they're are a lot of cases of premature puberty (like preschoolers developing) and it could be a cause of such.

Anyway, I support people re-using bottles and such, as long as they clean them very, very often. (Many water bottles are swarming with bacteria after the first use or two>_>)

I do not, however, support taxing bottled water, such as Chicago has done. Soda and many juices and energy drinks come in plastic bottles as well, and also are harmful to people's health (full of sugar, additives) but they aren't taxed, which encourages people to buy soda and other unhealthy alternatives to bottled water.

Actually we have premature puberty today and it's very common. Back in the old days before hormones were in those beloved hamburgers every one loves, and everything was natural and organic, girls didn't always start developing till sometimes up to the age of 15-17.

I do what I can, and that's one of the things I do not do is support bottled water, and I try not to support the companies who do it either, like Nestle and whatnot. What a waste. It's no incentive to reuse the bottles, plus you're paying for what should be a free comodity. It should be a fucking right, and they have no business charging for water.

Unfortunately, it costs money to clean and provide water for everybody; so even though it makes sense for it to be free, the way our capitalist government is set up, it will never happen. My family buys bottled water (which I complain about), so if I take a bottle, I refill it with tap water.

The Today show had a doctor on that recommend that no one should injest anything from a plastic container labeled with the diamond and 3, 6 or 7. But not all plastic is labeled.
