How does smoking weed before you go to bed effect your dreams? a few friends say they have really weird dreams, colorful and weird subjects and shit. i usually dont remember anything but bits and pieces of my dreams when im not high, so i figure it doesen't really effect them cause the same happens when im h igh.
i find after smoking and going right to bed or smoking for a good portion of the day then sleeping i can never remember my dreams. just a little bit ago i took a week break from smoking and every single night i had crazy vivid dreams that i remembered.
yea it seems like when i smoke alot before i go to bed i dont have as vivid of dreams as i do when i dont smoke. ive heard from a few places that thc doesnt allow rem sleep as much. like you get a deeper more restful sleep when you smoke so you dont really go into the dream stage of sleeping as good as if you didnt smoke. i dunno everyone could be different this is just how it is for me. i do get dreams when i smoked the night before but not as vivid and able to remember them as if i had been sober and hadnt smoked for a few days prior to the dream.
Yeah pot supresses my dreams. I think your friends might be trying to sound cool by talking about their wicked trippy pot induced dreams
I usually dont remember my dreams. Last dream I had that I remembered I was in car crash and when I flatlined in the dream I woke up in real life. That was trippy as shit.
when i first started smoking on a daily basis i didnt remember a dream for 6-7 months. when i took a break i had dreams that seemed very real and intense. it really wasent to much fun.
i never dream if ive been smoking but my buddy is the opposite and always talks about the crazy dreams he gets if he got high that day. And after a couple of days of not smoking i start to get really vivid intense dreams.
If i smoke right before bed i dont remember my dreams. But, if i smoke dring the day and dont smoke before bed i get crazy ass dreams haha.
one of the reasons I smoke is to suppress my dreams. only the really powerful dreams make it through, the ones I need to see. I have nightmares, and prophetic dreams, and if I don't smoke they drive me nuts. It wouldn't be so bad if I knew which ones were going to come true, but I have had at least 4 dreams come true, some that were silly in the first place (in boot camp, I dreamed that we were moving the beds around, and trying to line them up perfectly, and about a week after we had to switch rooms because of a water leak, and another division went in there, and moved the bunks, and worked out, so before we moved back in there we had to make everything regulation, and I was one of the people who did it. Also, I dreamed that I would have to write, and then I had to rewrite everything to be perfect multiple times. HooYah Div. 084!) before that the most poignant one was on the night of September 10, 2001. I dreamed planes crashed into tall buildings, on a continuous loop all night, and in the morning, it happened. Talk about terrified. That was my first prophetic dream, and I still see it in my head. Horrific. so yeah, weed affects my dreams.
when i smoke regularly, i dont' remember my dreams at all. to be honest, i don't think i even dream when i'm smoking regularly. if i take a break from smoking, I have the most vivid, visceral dreams ever. (this is after a short period of cleaning out my system)
man weed surpressed my dreams, i would never have any. none. after i smoked like 4-5 times daily and always right b4 bed and than quit completely i found that my dreams are more clearer than ever befor. i always thought that just happened to me but then i was listen to a terrence mckenna lecture and he described the same thing.
