So my Doc Martens came in the mail today. I tried them on and laced them up. My heel slips a little bit, so I figure they're a little too big for me. I can just lace them tighter I guess. But what's confusig is... They are US size 9.5-10. My last boots, US size 10, are snug and comfy. So I decided to look up size charts and conversions. I measured my foot.. it's 9.5" long. According to the size charts, my shoe-size is 7.5. I just tried on my dad's size 8. They feel kinda snug. I compared their length to the length of my Docs, and it's really no big difference. I guess sizes go up in tiny increments?
No need to separately document it--- there's a record of it here for the world to read and appreciate.
Maybe they were snug because of the width of the shoe? I imagine that sizes increase in both length and width, and maybe your foot is just long enough for a 7.5, but is too wide for that. Not to mention, boots have weirder sizing than shoes, it seems I wear a different size in shoes, boots, and sandals.
