"An American Prayer" -the last thing Jim Morrison recorded before he died. Its his spoken word poetry , and after he died, the band recorded some groovy-ass music behind it. It really is a great album to listen to high. My friends and I listened to it ALOT. Great memories.......

I would have to say Pink Floyd would be at the top of the list.
I also like Moody Blues, King Crimson, ELP and Traffic.

But this is the kind of music you listen to when you're totally wasted and you sit there quietly without speaking a word, and just listen to the music. If you're partying, talking and moving around, and just want background music, then the list would be completely different.

Well... for me several songs gave me a hell of a trip. let me start

Yes - gates of delirium, I remember when I first hear it high, damn, the bass guitar of Chris Squire was on 3d, yeah, the bass was up front, all the music was behind, good stuff.

Yes - close to the Edge, I was on acid, I felt my head cracking with one of the drum fills, beautifull.

Procol harum, Damn it was morning after a nice night tripping, the morning, the birds, the nature, the sun, amazing.

The moody blues - i was driving my car the same morning, the words " this day will last a thousand years if you want it to" where inside my head the whole day.

Of course grateful dead, the dead sounds so different, for me i could feel the drum skin vibrate when they make a drum fill, and the arrangements sounds so vivid when you're high

yeah I just listened to Procol Harum's Conquistador-killer stuff.

I'm sorta all about minimalism and ambient right now. 1/1 by Brian Eno is powerful, also Vangelis is great

always listen to "get to the point" and a usually unheard of song "any color you like" by PF. "hush" by deep purple. CCR is good, "achilles last stand" is awesome. and "moby dick". any Queen song and any simon and garfunkel song are great. i love "the logical song" by supertramp and "dont fear the reaper" by blue oyster cult. and youve got to listen to "tip toe through the tulips" by tiny tim. "san fransisco nights" by the animals. i know any good beatles song is good but the whole "revolver" album is kickass especially "love you to" with george harrison's sitar is my favorite beatle song. "detroit rock city" kiss, "daydream believer" the monkees, "feelin groovy" simon and garfunkel, and "bang the drum" by ... idk. any boston and "in a gadda da vida" by iron butterfly and near the end i listen to free bird.

Make mine Tangerine Dream. Except for the Madcap's Flyng Duty CD which hasn't grown on me yet. And for something a little different "Rosenfole" by Agnes Buen Garnås and Jan Gabarek. Strong stuff. Works for me...

    Enigma
    Hawkwind
    Eloy
Ange ('specially if you can get into the French lyrics: surrealistic and witty)
    Fairport Convention
    Laurie Anderson (some)
Amon Düül II (editing here too)
    Harmonia
...and make sure you have good earphones (unpaid promotion)
