I dont think anyone said Dancer in the Dark yet. Especially sad, and it has Bjork in it.

    Betty Blue

It's funny, sad, happy, enthralling, sexy and one of those films where once you've watched it, will leave a lasting imprint on you. It's a romance and I defy anyone who has watched it not to like it.

lilja 4ever...if you can find it, it's swedish... absolutely great movie, very depressing (the actual 'happy end' is her (lilja, the main character) being happier dead than alive...)

The director is very good... (can't remember his name right now) his other movies are great as well but not very depressing... fucking amal (no that wasn't misspelled - amal is a boring town in the movie) is fantastic... simplistic but beautiful. Tilsamman (Together) is about communal living and it's pretty funny.

Unstrung Heroes. It'll rip your heart out, but it is a very sweet movie at the same time.

I totally agree on Steel Magnolias. You'd have to be completely heartless to not be moved to tears by Sally Fields in the end of that.

I actually found Slingblade to be pretty depressing too.

A really sad movie, as Hoon mentioned, is Elephant Man. One of the saddest movies I've ever seen. It was based on a true story.

One of the best sad movies I've ever seen is Pay It Forward.

You will not watch through the end of that movie without crying.

Oh, I just remembered how sad Forrest Gump was!
Remember when his momma died? Remember when Jenny died? Remember when he met his son for the first time and asked if he was smart, or ... ?
OMG totally sad movie, but happy too.

I think I'll go watch it now! :p

Requiem for a Dream.... seriously, grab a box of tissues and hide the razorblades when watching this one.

I love the movie Blow. I 've seen it so many times, I just turn it off once he starts getting into coke. The movie just gets so depressing after that.
