At present I am going on a diet like this: for breakfast I can eat oatmeal or egg beaters, for lunch maybe a sandwich or something and dinner some grilled chicken and green beans. I don’t like a lot of foods such as cottage cheese or yogurts or cream cheese, all dressings and most veggies, I only like salads, green beans and carrots in the veggie dept. and I like chicken and turkey. Hehe, thanx! Well now you have a dehydrator youre well away, can make cookies, brownies, crisps, bread, just about anything!..Im jealous! Hope we get one soon Wll my ice creams REALLY simple A few bananas, chopped Cup of cashews (better soaked for half an hour beforehand) Little bit of coconut (optional-I think) Then whatever else you want to add in there to make it different flavours! Ive added frozen berries, mango chunks, kiwi, cocoa beans to make chocolate, vanilla, strawberries...endless flavour potential! You just blend them all up in the food processor/blender and then put it in the freezer to set. Comes out way yummier than any dairy or soya crap, and its actually good for you Uhm, apple pie, what did i do? Its hard to remember, im just experimenting too! I think it was pecan nuts blended with dates to form a sticky base. Leave that in the fridge to set. Then chop apples into chunks and blend 1/3rd of them to make a puree. You can add orange too. Then some cinnamon, and place ontop of the base! ahhh, im hungry Great to hear youre trying out new raw thingsI love kiwi, one of my favourites
This all depends on your frame of mind. Like whats acceptable or not to you, what ideas youre open to. Also may depend on any health problems and things. Is there any special reason you "really need the advice"? I mean healthwise etc.

Im still not quite there at 100% yet, beause we have money probs and things keep coming up and stressing us out and our local organic stores food is sometimes all gone off...but im really hoping that once ive been over and brought home glorious raw bounty today ill be there at last I want to feel great for the wedding! Im so pleased for you, its great youve cut the alcohol and are feeling good About the nutty pie base, its really quick and easy isnt it? If you swap the pecans for macadamia nuts it makes a great cake base. Much sweeter. Or just eaten on its own in little squares with cacao nibs in...mmm...although thats a little naughty Anyway congrats again, so pleased youre getting healthier
WEDDING!! congrats!!! cacao isnt naughty at all , its amazing , i jus finished a book thats just about cacao, i could spout aload of facts at you but i wont. its one of if not thee healthyist food out there. yeh just makes shure its on your to-do list to be 100% , my next mission is to be 100% organic aswell but it all costs dunt it. nuts cost LOADS, almost £4 for 250g of pecans!!! ive just spent £80 on super foods an supplemnts etc , itll last me ages tho, i bought some guarana, u no that stimulant stuff, horrible , stay away , nasty stuff. whens the big day?
Here's a recipe I LOVE: Chacolate covered strawberries with macadamia nuts: Chocolate sauce: 2 T raw agave nectar 3 T raw cocoa powder (ground cocoa nibs) 1 t cold pressed extra virgin olive oil 1 T coconut milk Stawberries cored and halfed about 7 macadamia nuts chopped Blend agave, coconut milk and plive pil together using whisk, add in raw cocoa powder and whisk until smooth. Add halved strawberries and coat heavly, dip into macadamia nuts. Then take them out, laying them on parchment paper greased with either olive oil or coconut oil. Let set in the fridge for about one hour.
dude the whole raw food concept is simple, you just have to relize one thing. the only source of enzymes you can get is from raw fruits and veggies. eat as much as possable and your health and digestion will naturally improve.
Hi johnnyl108 and everyone. do we need enzymes in our food?. and are the enzymes produced by the body adequate?. lots of chewing of foods produce masses of enzymes. whether cooked or not. good quality fermented foods are stuffed with enzymes. salt is known to enhance the activaty of enzymes. also, some peoples digestive systems are not strong enough to take a lot of raw foods. people promote raw food but they dont study the energetics/ and peoples conditions. now thats a recepie for disaster if u ask me.
naaaa man, your body has a cetain amount of enzymes at birth and we gradually start to loose the ones in our body. the ONLY way we could regain those is from eating raw fruits and veggies. and fermented foods are bad unless raw sourkrout or raw apple cider viniger. other fermented foods help produce candita just like sugar and white flour cantita is very bad and cintributes to alot of bad ailments
hey so if the body gradually start to loose enzymes its because it dont need them right?, so why do we need to put them back?
no enzymes are very very important in proper functioning of the body, enzymes breakdown food so you can absorb all the vitamins and nutrients from them if you are low you have many digestive probloms, you will always be sick, have a low immune function, all around your body will perform like shit. you realy realy need them eat as much raw fruit and veggies as possable and if you dont eat them i would highly sugest taking an enzyme supplement preffrebly from enzamatic, their awsome. research enzymes you will be enlighted for shure. their are 2 diffrent kinds sustemic and digestive, digestive you take with food systemic you take on a empty belly
johnny hello again,,,, i really beleive u about enzymes being a catalyst,,,but your belief that enzymes are needed by our bodies taking them from raw food still aint been proved which is still an ongoing debate,, although it certainly has been proved that we need them and we have loads, and yeh we loose them by elimination,,. and stuff. naturally like sweating, and when taking a dump and other stuff. the reasons some people get low on enzymes is simply because they dont chew their food enough, and their digestive systems have been hammered by processed and unbalanced foods amongst other stuff the raw food movement is looking at things from an understanding that natural is best. yeh, i cant agree more.... but see i look at things is strictly from an energetic point of view. (we are all energy in motion and ever changing, based on a balance of yin/yang)and so from this perspective i get to get a deeper understanding of the nature of a persons condition(energetically speaking)in order to access the persons own healing. currently, my condition is terribly overly yin( meaning, that my energy is too expansive, right now, i am also a female(yin) physically, i get cold hands and feet, especially in winter, and so if i were to take raw foods(raw foods are yin, and expansive, as apposed to cooked food which is yang and contracting) at this time of year (cold=..yin) my little paws would freeze ( very cold..= very yin yin,,lol) ,,, which they do (proof ??, well you'll just have to take my word for it ok ) and its not a very balanced state to be in. heres what i believe we learned to cook food, therefor contracting its energy,,,. as a result,,,, we began to think, plan, calculate, comunicate in complex ways and even LOVE. what do you reckon?
ya to each his or her own, but i truely belive from working at an organic/whole food store for a few years. talking to our natrupathic doctors and through my own research from books at the store. the ONLY way we could bet enzymes is through raw fruits and veggies. your body secreats them through siliva but if your body has low amounts it will perform very pourly. their are all diffrent types of enzymes do some reach. enzamatic has a good cd out and book. their giving people diffrent types of enzymes to cure alot of ailments and its WORKING i used to perscribe them to people at the store. they had great results. also it always isnt better through tyme the things we do i belive through time in the beginning states before the ice age we were all vegans and hed great health then with the induction of meat as a secondary source of energy by scavaging during the ice age and with dairy our health went down hill. did u know roman prized fighters were vegetarions and in unbeliviable health. god provided for us just the way he wants us to eat from the earth
