My mother passed August 22, 2007 of copd, she was 70 years old; she was always a bit vain and felt oxygen therapy was a sign of weakness and unattractive...she used the oxygen at home never in public...thus, she passed years earlier that possibly whe would not have IF she used the oxygen...she also despised aging...talking of her "turkey neck"...

    Okay...my dream...

Last week in my dream my mother came to me...she was young, wearing a pastel pink dress I had always loved on her 44 years ago...she was 25-26 again in the dream...I was in total awe looking at her...I said to her "my gosh mom, look at you...you're so thin, so young"...she replied..."well yes"...I reached for her...she smiled and walked away...

To define this dream...does it mean she was letting me know she is okay or that she now has Eternal Life/Youth/Health...or...something I am not reading...

    Your comments are appreciated!

    Thank you,
    Marie

Well, could be many different things.

Perhaps your mother was infact coming to you through a dream, to let you know that shes okay. Had you been worrying about her 'Eternal Life/Youth/Health' around the time of the dream? If you were, maybe she knew that and was wanting to clear that up for you. Or maybe it was your subconscious mind creating the dream to communicate to your consciouse mind that all is well and you can stop worrying about it.

Then again, could just be your unconscious mind communicating some other message to your conscious mind, figuring something out for you, like dreams are meant to. If I were in your shoes, I would deffinatly like to believe that she was visiting me via dream, but hey you never know right.

Hmm, heres something you may be interested in. I have this book, called 'The Giant Book of Dreams' it has over 10,000 meanings of dreams.

I looked up 'dead' and it says this:

To dream of the dead is usually a dream of warning. To dream of a departed sibiling, or other relatives or friends denotes that you may be called on for charity or aid within a short time. To dream of seeing the dead, living and happy, signifies you are letting wrong influences into your life, which will bring material loss if not corrected by the assumption of your own will force. To dream that you are conversing with a dead relative, and that relative endeavors to extract a promise from you, warns you of coming distress, unless you follow the advice given to you. Disasterous consequences could often be adverted if minds could grasp the inner workings and sight of the higher or spiritual self. The voice of relatives is only that of self taking form to approach more distinctly the mind that lives near the material plane. There is little congeniality between common or material plane. There is so little congeniality between common or material natures that persons should depend upon their own subjectivity for true contentment and pleasure.

Phew, that was a bit of typing lol.
Hope this was some help to you!

i have no ideal what your dream means because, it is your dream! its' not my dream. i dream of my "mother" alot too. only in my dreams i'm beating the living shit out of her. i never touched her in anyway when she was alive. in life she was one hell of a nasty ****. abusive as all hell to me. i know though that dreaming this shit is good because it shows that i am dealing with my "mother" issues and, starting to grow beyond them. i would be deeply worried if i stayed stuck in this dream for the rest of my life though! that has never been my pattern though. maybe you should see if some kind of pattern comes forth from this one dream and/or other dreams you had in your life. i have found in my case trying to understand one dream is like having a peice of a puzzle whereas, a pattern is more like making sense of the puzzle before the whole puzzle is completed.

Hi Marie...I have had sooo many dreams of people who have passed on. Some I knew well, some not so well. These dreams have a different feel to them than an ordinary dream. Most of them tell me they are not dead, they have another life now. Sometimes I get warnings. I see some of them in hospital settings (healing ) others in school or educational settings ( learning). I have had dreams like yours where they have walked right up to me looking so well so happy so at peace. Oh yes, there is no doubt in my mind, I do believe your mom wanted to tell you that she is OK, happy and at peace....Windy.
