Hey - I wasn't totally sure where to put this. I've started a webcomic somewhat recently (there are only 7 pages so far), and I'd be really interested in finding out what people think about it. So, if you could take the time to please read it and let me know what you think, please do! Here's the link: http://dancomic.smackjeeves.com/comics/336823/page-1/ Oh and please forgive the really dodgy art :S I did kinda rush them in parts.
I like the intelligent creativity behind the webcomic. I'd encourage you to post it here though... use your journal space perhaps?
Thanks for that I'm not totally familiar with the whole journal space thing though. Any suggestions, anyone?
Not 100% sure about this but try clicking the "User Options" drop down and selecting "Your Journal" from the list and you *should* be taken to a page where you can start one. I started mine a while ago and recall finding the space by accident from just clicking around.
Alright. Is anyone actually interested in this? Am I allowed to post an example so people can see? *Pending approval* Kthx. Here's my latest comic: Uh..how the hell do I make it smaller, because I suspect its a little big O_O
Why wouldn't you be allowed to post it? Impressive--- very impressive! You're quite talented. Have you figured out the journal? I'm using a wide screen flat panel so there's no issues here... there might be with a smaller resolution but I've seen FAR bigger images in posts and sigs so until I get a specific complaint I see no problems.. and in that case I'd do what I could to help resize.
Heh, thanks for that It's my third day using image manipulation software (or whatever you call it), so I'm pretty pleased with my result I'm using Gimp at the moment and my mouse (no tablet yet). *Edit* Worked this bit out... Thanks for all the support, stinkfoot. More comments greatly appreciated . PS. And as for why I thought I may not be able to upload it - I just thought that it might be a bit big for the forums.
Just another question, sorry for the double post. Would it be at all possible if I rather just posted my comic on a thread here? That way, it'd probably get far more of a response than in my journal.
I see no reason why not. You could do both for that matter. Maybe establish a thread with each new rendering as a new post in it.. Your work is impressive and I get a sense of rare intelligence and humor on your end- the possibility of where your creativity navigates the comic intrigues me.
Thanks so much for that :shy: That's quite a compliment actually and really hope you mean all you said. I'm going to post a thread with the comic on it, just in the hope that someone will read it. This thread hasn't had much response thus far...
I mean what I say. I've also added a coment to your journal. You should add a link to the journal in your sig. It may well draw more people to appreciate your work.
Thank you so much for that I will do so I'm going to repost page 9 now with nicer speech bubbles (the other ones were terrible). Just a note - tomorrow I'll be posting another 3 pages.
I'm really not certain on a title thus far. Hopefully, as I get more into it, something will come to me. No one seems to be reading it at all
You can make a clickable link to your journal... {View my Webcomic } Just copy quote this here post and copy the code and add that to your sig. Hey... people will notice and comment. Just be patient and give it time. Maybe you can generate interest by having a naming contest for it. Personally I like "Guitar wielding Scarf Ninjas"... although that has nothing to do with your subject matter.
Heh thanks for that That name you mentioned was really funny, but like you said - it had little to do with the subject matter of the comic. I'll be patient I guess. Just thought there'd be some response by now (apart from you, of course).
Hehe that's pretty funny actually, but I'm not sure it'd be too relevant to the story I'm thinking something subtly "gay"...Like...Something to do with a parabola (opposed to a straight line) or something like that. Ponycorn Painbow ? :S The pony and "rainbow" bit could be the more gay bit of the title, but the pain bit of painbow could imply drama. Ponycorn would be like a baby unicorn, possibly implying some form of immaturity or development (presumably of the characters). Like I said though - I need to think more on it
