Anyone else watch this? - "Should I smoke Dope?"

It was a pretty decent one actually, investagative journo decides to do a month long investigation into weed basically.

I started off a bit worried that it was gonna be a scare doc when she took a little too much of some skunk in a coffeehouse in Amsterdam and got quite paranoid. Luckily though, it didn't go down that route and instead looked at it objectively, using a lot of evidence, some actual medical experts on the subject (who came up saying that it is bad for your health, but nowhere near as bad as is assumed (aside from on the lungs)

She ended up with the conclusion that, legalization is ultimately the safest way to go and that if she ever chose to smoke it, she would stick to the safe, naturally grown stuff, rather than the 60% THC skunk.

All in all, pretty good, intelligent doc (with a healthy amount of her giggling her tits off added in for good measure, favourite bit was at the hemp museum in Amsterdam after a nice bit of hash. The owner was trying to give a serious interview, and she had to run to the toilets to calm down after tittering at some hamster bedding)

Anyone elses thoughts on it? (I am firmly pro legalization by the way)

Damn, I had a look, there doesn't seem to be any way of watching it outside of the UK, I'll keep checking the usual video upload sites in case someone records and re-ups it.

my mum was actually just talking about this saying that she ended up overweight and paranoid but from what ive heard thats not the case.

 

Yeah, I think anti-weed people will take out the negatives from it. She put on weight obviously. But she only ended up paranoid twice (once when she took too much skunk at the beginning, and at the end when she had pure THC injected into her) , the rest of the time (and as confirmed by experts who've done extensive research on the subject), she had no problematic effects at all, and the paranoia lasted less that a few hours.

 

that was jokes. made me laugh my ass off at points with the random cat starring disaprovingly and her just fucking around with hamster bedding with this guy just standing there looking abit pissed. really funny and informative i just wish the entirity of the uk (fuckit everywere) viewed cannabis with such open mindednus

 

Yeah, that has gotta be one of the happiest cats I have ever seen. Shame they didn't have the time to point out that baking it is a lot better for you. But oh well, nice to see a balanced view on 'erb in the media rather than just ONE JOINT BRINGS MADNESS. Even our teachers are trying to put forward that idea now, sheesh. I shall think of the presenter fondly while I christen my new waterfall bong tonight.

she such a nice english mom lady - smokin weeeeed! Could you imagine if we had weed stores here, and you went in to buy some mad headies, and there was this mom-lady working there, being all sweet & asking you how you are & all.

we need more mom's to smoke weed!

 

I watched it, thought it was quite good.

The sad part is that two days after it was showed, i walked passed a newspaper with a picture of her smoking a spliff on the front, with the caption "this woman smoked weed for a month. The results make a chilling read", even though that is definately not the impression i got from the show!

Also, what was that thing about smoking pure green causing holes in the lungs? it's the first ive heard of it

 

i loved the bit were the random guy walks in and asks for some Jack Herer and she goes 'I know him' (she meant that she knew were the jar was) and the guy looks bewildered like wtf? u know him?
I crave the 'Dam now.

 

I think the holes thing is something involved with the tar in Cannabis and Tobacco smoke. I doubt it's anywhere near as severe or simple as the guy made it seem though, otherwise every smoker in the world would be unable to breath at all.
