I was watching CNN today (which I rarely watch for news) and Mario Cuomo, the former NY governor, (I think?) was talking about his idea that the democratic candidate who loses should run with the winner as vice president.. What's your opinion? Would you vote for Obama as president and Hillary as vice president? Or Hillary as President and Obama as vice president? I think it's a decent idea. Though Obama is by far the best choice, in my opinion anyway. I just really fucking hope McCain doesnt get elected. Not that I get to vote, though the US president does have a significant effect on Canada
Well, I would have LOVED to see Obama and Clinton together if not for her recent outburst of lies. I have been for Obama from the beginning (this is the first election I get to vote in, by the way :hurray: ), but I never minded Clinton until all of these lies started outpouring from her. I think it would really do some damage to Obama's reputation if Clinton was vice president and continued to behave the way she is now. She is just not trustworthy. If she lies about simple, trivial things, how will she tell the truth about matters of larger importance? She also voted for the war, I might add, and I am not particularly fond of her because of that fact. This is just my view on Hillary. Let me say, though, that I love Bill, and he is one of my favorite presidents. I think America saw a nice period with him as president, but I would like to see some new faces in the White House. Obama is young, intelligent, and has a vision that is so refreshing. I suppose if Hillary was acting differently right now, I would not mind her as vice president, but she just isn't very appealing to me at the moment. I have nothing against the Clintons personally. If Hillary should make president, I suppose having Obama as vice president would not be terribly bad. Again, I am not sure if he should associate with her because of her dishonestly lately, but I admire and respect him and think he would do a lot of good for the American government. As far as them actually teaming up, I am in huge doubt because of the way they have been arguing. Even Obama supporters and Clinton supporters are attacking one another. Who knows, the situation could always change. I honestly wouldn't count on it, though. By the way, isn't that the truth about keeping McCain out? It's so obvious he is just another George Bush. By the way (again), I had the pleasure of shaking Obama's hand when he came to my town Saturday. It was a very enlightening experience to see him speak in person.
