*details at bottom* I need: -a water based smoking device (bong, bubbler, etc.) -it should be affordable (under 70$, looking at around 40 or 50 american) -if a bong: acrylic or glass? -it needs to be sold online, I have no smoke shops near me so if you have one in mind a link would be great -a website with a good selection that you know is fine too if you don't have a specific product in mind, anything helps -I want to use it for the long term I've been smoking out of joints and glass spoons during my time smoking. I made a few homemade bongs and love them though. Next week is spring break for me, and this Saturday is my birthday so I am going to have it on the first day I have off. My friends and I have been planning to have a good time that week and I decided I want a new peice. I have come to the conclusion that I really want a water-type smoking device. I don't know all the types, but yeah something that you fill with water. The homemade bongs I used had me in love with cold water filtered smoke. I thought it wasn't getting a good hit the first time I used it, that is until I exhaled 25 seconds later and there was so much smoke that came out, it was as if I had exhaled right after taking the hit. Needless to say me and my brother had a field day that night . My main barrier here is money, bongs are expensive, especially glass, and this is what had me consider a bubbler or something along those lines. I don't have a lot of tolerance, and I can still get plenty high from my trusty old glass spoon, which is why I realize that even if I were to just go all out and get a glass bong, it doesn't need to be too big, and a bubbler since the pipe gets me high should be fine. If I were to go for a bong, I am really torn between acrylic and glass. I am finding some really nice looking acrylic bongs with prices in my boat. Could I just get a glass bowl for it to make up for the smoothness of glass? Would ice water and a glass bowl (w/ acrylic) be as good as a decent glass bong in the same price range? Durability and longevity are important to me, and the price is quite good for acrylics. I have yet to break any smoking peices, but the idea of breaking it still terrifies me. It wouldn't leave my room, and if it does it would just be out in my backyard in case I want some sunshine so it won't be moving around a whole ton. Also I have a carpet floor if that makes a difference. Heres a few I'm looking at: glass http://shop.grasscity.com/shop/grasscity/ST85.html http://shop.grasscity.com/shop/grasscity/jjwa77.html http://www.everyonedoesit.com/online_headshop/Roor_Bong_100__3_piece.cfm?iProductID=1572 acrylic http://shop.grasscity.com/shop/grasscity/PB2.html http://www.everyonedoesit.com/onlin...ased_Ice_Twist_Bong__Clear.cfm?iProductID=792
Roors are good but there expensive http://www.chunkyglasspipes.com/water-pipes.html theres a lot of good bongs here for cheap(an 18" icebong of 60+s&h)
It's quite expensive though for it's size and thickness though. On top of that the dollar is worthless vs. the pound and I can't find any place to buy it in dollars at. That's a great site. I'm actually seriously considering getting one of these bongs. The price is excellent, and they look gorgeous.
out of all the other bongs you posted, the roor is of the best quality, thats why i suggested it. your looking to buy it in american dollars? that site sells in a bunch of currencies you just have to change it on the right hand column. chunky glass pipes is a highly reccommended site, great pieces at a great price. definatly check them out if your in the market. just look for something thats glass on glass connections and dosnt use any plastic or metal, and of course, the thicker glass the better.
check out everybodydoesit.com. they have a great selection of bongs at some killer deals (look at the bushmaster and molino bongs, usually under $100) -a
get that roor if you want a quality bong that will last you a while or if your feeling crafty you can get a glass drill bit and a male and female piece with a glass vase or bottle and make your own
ok, well i dont know if it is too late, if you've already bought a piece. but in my opinion DO NOT BUY A BUBBLER, they break really easily and its easy to get bong water in your mouth, which tastes really nasty. i would go with a bong, acrylics are just fine, but i got my 11" glass-on-glass for $80 at a local head shop and it hits amazing, feels like i'm breathing. i dunno what you could find online, but if possible, i would definately recommend a glass one if you can afford it

i think its stupid that with the name roor on the side of a bong a normaly 80 dollar bong sells for 300-400 REDICULOUS get a cool hand blown zong
Although bongs are sick, I think bubblers are the way to go because they are super portable. I want a bong and will get one eventually, but a bubbler works just as well for the price.
a bubbler is going to break just as easy as a bong is, unless the bong is really really thick glass. just dont drop it and it wont break, how hard is that? if your getting water in your mouth than your either pulling to hard or put to much water in.
i second that notion... or maybe one of the smaller Zongs from CGP btw.. do you still get free merch from CGP when you order over $30?
its not whether or not its a bong/pipe/bubbler/steamroller/etc.. its how its made, how thick the glass is, which kind of glass its made out of, and how its handled. i have never seen a piece break in my life that wasnt by human error (aka dropping it) as long as you handle it carefully, its not going to break. glass is glass, its not steal, i have a piece made out of paper thin glass thats been with me for over 2 years now. take care of your piece and it will take care of you.
