I dont know why, but near the roots my dreads start turning white. Like there some kind of powder on them or something. Might it be from the shampoo?
build up of residue from shampoos? dandruff? is it on your scalp or hair, if you scrape it with your nail does it come off? what shampoo are you using? how often do you wash your dreads? photo would help
ya didnt use wax or lock peppa did ya? most liky idf u dont have residue its lkil chunks of skin but yea pics will help oh also some have had hair folicules co,me out at the roots so the roots woulkd be exposed?
not too clear, dunno if you can understand something from that...also its a bit shiny from the camera too
i did use just a tiny bit of wax the day they were made, but the "White part" is the new growth which has 0 wax in it. I didnt use locking accel
im not seeing what your talking about i see only 1 or 2 lil white specks,, dandruff what are uyou washing with and how often?
actually, i think i know what it is. They just look a bit brighter than the rest of the dread, and a friend said it's like that because i dont twist them trough the roots and going natural. The thing that bothered me is the rest of the dread that doesen't look so matted and stuff. It was twist and ripped and a lil backcombed but it never fell out. So it's a lil different than the natural new growth. Will that eventually turn out the same?
i think i worry to much...but i think it might be the shampoo too, given the fact that i just mix it with water so it makes bubbles, then rub it on the scalp. I dont really rub the dreads, i just rinse them with the shower. Is that enough?
thats perfect but the rest might have wax alittle if u havent gotten it all out but they'll be fine as long ss theyre clean and wax freee
thanks, i washed the wax out several times, and they arent stiff or anything they're as clean as they can get. It was just a little only once to hold em in place.
its not broken hair ends or root ends that have grown out is it? i have that, white specks that are basically bit of root of each hair that is no longer attached
