do you know if it was it from a tree out in the yard, or was it a peice of wood bought from a craft store or something.
Tell him to take out the keys of his keyboard, if he puts bud up there often, there should be a nice stash of flake down there.
some woods have harmful chemicals in them and cant be smoked, or just shouldnt be. a lot of woods burn at a low temperature and can be harmful. if its a really dense would i wouldnt worry too much but i probably wouldnt use it as a main peace, especially if its made out of pine.
