i need info on money orders, f you need to be 18, are they easy to obtain, i know where to get one, do they have a number(like a credit card for websites) or do you mail then to places? thank you
basically its a special check. i don't know if you have to be 18, but you give them your money, they hold it until the money order is cashed. its like a certified check, a check representing actual cash, so it won't bounce. usually you mail them, when people don't trust your personal check.
also i saw this thing called PaidbyCash which is cool, you give cash and they give you a mastercard number so you dont need to mail anything in so i might go with that
what is it for? if you don't mind my asking. a pay as you go "credit" card isn't too bad, if you use it for online shopping stuff. if you do a lot of online shopping thats probably a good idea, less fees than sending out a bunch of money orders.
You can get them and send them from Western Union locations, and I hear from some grocery stores like PathMark (in my state and a couple around I think). I think you can send them from USPS places too (United States Postal Service).
you dont need to be 18 to obtain a money order, You do need to be 18 to purchase adult things over the internet. Although there is no way to really enforce that. But your getting a money card will make buying things over the internet easier, Go to a moneygram store pay for the amount of the card, Make sure the place your buying from excepts the endorser of the money card, ie:master card/visa. follow the directions onsite to order and your done. Wait for package.
wal-mart has a service called moneygram available at customer service desk/front desk which money gram is a money order you give them cash and you tell them where it goes and done i believe kroger also offers money orders at the front desk and you don't have to be 18 i had send one in for a ticket once and also they charge a little fee for the service
