Im going for my drivers exam tomorrow for my license. Anybody have any tips or little things to pay attention to while taking the test. I know it varies by state, but im just looking for the general driving info. I live in florida if anybdy would like to post anything specific. Anybody failed or gotten points off for little mistakes that many people dont even think twice about? If so what? I know some people fail because they dont turn directly into the closest lane and may skip a lane when making a right or left turn. Also looking in the mirror when coming up to a stop. any others?
if the speed limit is 30mph make sure you stay under 30mph. Dont forget to signal when leaving the curb. Use your mirrors more than you ever have in you life and dont forget to check that blind spot!
Another important this is to just try and relax. Try to give the impression that you know what you're doing. When I took my test, the instructor said I was a little hesitant, being afraid to screw up, and that doesn't give a good impression. He still passed me though.
Know all the different controls in the car and CHECK YOUR BLIND SPOTS!!! Those are really the only two things you will fail on if you are a good overall driver.
study the book. i did good on my written test for my permit, but i'm afraid to do the driving test. crazy people like my dad and brother drive. i'm such a wuss.
relax and don't be nervous, and listen to EVERYTHING the instructor tells you to do. that's really all the advice i can give ya, cause i don't know too much about how your driving tests go in florida.
driving is really easy, i dont see why everyone sweats it.. but driving while stoned is badass, i learned to drive manual transmission when i was stoned and did it without stalling out like everytime i did when i tried before when i was sober
You know how to drive. Just come to a complete stop, and make sure you look careflly for like a stop sign. A lot of instructors will have one stop thats hard to see.
Yup I passed, but almost didn't. He took points off for stopping ON the white line at a stop sign instead of before it. Only looking back one way when making a 3 point turn instead of over both shoulders. And i did not signal at each point at the three point turn (which is rediculous to even have to do consider your only supposed to do that turn when nobody is around). But what ever, live and learn. I got it anyway. Now just have to figure out how to pay the rediculous car insurance and gas prices. Fuck i don't like cars or driving anyway. But the public transportation is absolutely shit in my area. and there are only like 2 months of the year that riding a bike to work or the gym does not drench me in sweat and tire me out before i even get there. Ahh, w/e.
