    Hello friends!

Here's the situation I'm in right now:
I have 4 weeks left at my job, after which I am moving & I plan on starting my dreads (probably a little backcombing, but then just letting my hair do whatever).
The issue is that my sister is getting married at the end of July. My parents are practically begging me not to do my dreads until after her wedding, but I really don't want to wait any longer than I've already waited. (My sister doesn't care, by the way.)
Sooooo what I'm wondering is, in the 3 months I will have between the end of my job & the wedding, will I be able to have them looking the tiniest bit presentable? I'm not hoping for full-on spectacular-ness, but I can't be looking a mess.
I'm going to have to wait if that's the case, because I really don't want to make my parents sad.

    What do you all think?

I would just go for it. You can always smooth them back into a nice ponytail for the wedding.

Depends on hair type I think. My really messy stage didn't start until like 4 months. But either way, you can just tie them back or use aloe to smooth them out if necessary. If your sister doesn't care, I'd go for it! But if it's a huge issue, its probably not a big deal to wait a bit longer...

If you want to backcomb, you can choose to maintain them for the first 3 months and after just let them do what they want.
