Micro-propagation

I was wondering if anyone has ever tried this with marijuana. i know its a lot harder than cloning, and very difficult to do. But im curious.

You basically take a leaf or part of a plant, im not sure if it will work for marijuana or not that is why i started this post, but theoretically it will work with any plant. You take part of the plant usually the tip of leaves since they have the most growing activity happening in them. then you can take a single cell from the plant and create a whole new plant from it. You have to have it in a sterile nutrient rich medium also. (I may be wrong on some of this but this is basically what i got from what it is, the horticulture book i was reading didnt go into much detail about it. If you are interested in further detail i would probably google it)

 

You are right I looked into it but it does not look practical (or from what I read doable outside of a laboratory environment). Some plants are not great choices do to their structures and hormone distribution (think of cloning a growing shoot with a stem vs a fan leaf). There will probably come a time where if you have the DNA structure that replication will be possible. Till then the plus side is cloning works, its really easy and produces a genetic duplicate.

 

Gawd yeah bb then maybe we're will see 50 percent or greater thc plants mmmm
