I'm leaving pain-relievers as the last last resort. I've tried a humidifier, but it only seems to help for a couple of minutes. Any ideas on herbs or home remedies? I'm desperate! :sick2:

Mullein is an expectorant (promotes the discharge of mucus) and demulcents (soothes irritated mucous membranes). idk where u live, but these plants are usually everywhere. can probably find a tincture somewhere... makin a tea with it ur probably gonna have to filter with a coffee filter if u got leaves/flowers, they have little hairs. its a herb i usually use. although i havent been sick in years... :) hope u get better!

check out this site, scroll down a bit they list a bunch of herbals for bronchitis.

You might also try this tea. I used it for asthma but it works for bronchitis as well. In addition to the tea try taking some colloidal silver as it is a natural antibiotic. Or go out in your yard and pick some plaintain leaves and eat or drink a tea from them as well. They are a mild antibiotic. Just add some tender leaves to a salad or boil older leaves up like collard greens. Drink the broth and eat the greens. Asthma tea: I tea bag each Lipton, Stinging Nettle, Chickweed in 1 cup of water let steep 5 minutes and drink up 2-3 times a day. Also, if you can get the Nettle extract squirt a dropper full of it under your tongue and let it sit a sec or two and then wash it down with whatever floats your boat to ease symptoms.

Black tea has tannin in it which is an expectorant and theophyilline which is a bronchodialator. Nettle is a bronchodialotor and antispasmodic. Chickweed thins the mucus so the expectorant can work. It softens and thins even old mucus that has dried up and is coating your bronchial tubes.

All but the Lipton tea may be growing in your yard or nearby as they are common weeds just trying to get your attention and heal you.

    Peace, cricketlind
