I usually would wake up and not eat at all until I started tripping......though I have read that some people may have breakfast and then wait a few hours. Does it matter? Will having a light breakfast and then waiting say 4 hours be enough for a good trip? I actually want to eat a little bit before I trip this time, just so my stomach doesn't growl on the come up.
I dunno but... I love eating fruit while tripping. Oranges, kiwis, plums, anything really juicy that you have to peel and take apart, I am always just completely fascinated by the whole process of opening it, ripping it apart, seeing all the naturally formed geometric shapes and patterns and colors, then eating it and seeing what it tastes like and feels like. Even in the peak. I consider it essential almost, having a close bonding time with something delicious and pretty looking from nature that I can eat and absorb.... is that weird... I can't eat anything else though. I ate a mcdonalds french fry once and had to spit it out. I ate a nutri grain bar one time and nearly threw up. Some really delicious artisan bread can be nice sometimes, but still it's never as nice as fruit. Just something about the combination of fruit looking awesome, feeling awesome, tasting awesome all combines and it's just always an enthralling experience.
eatting or not eatting should have no effect as long as what u eat isnt very high in vitamins c and b i once tripped after fasting 8 days though...was trippin great till i took 1 sip of beer and started puking foam (was a new years party) broke the fast woith a dozen chocolate chip cookies (all i could find to eat) i had planned on fasting 20-30 days havent fasted since
Totally! I remember one time, at band camp, I sat there staring at a juicy red wet strawberry shimmering in the sun light right up to my face; and just stared. Looked at it for at least 20min then had a bite and repeated about 10 times – it was amazing. Thinking about things like we are manufactured and fruit are simply designs for our food by some alien people who harvest us in our dreams. The taste, omg, the taste – when you build up such a fascination and understanding for something your going to eat its just tastes so good; and like you said just fruit and stuff, its so perfect and colourful and fresh. I relayed the theory of strawberries just been natures candy – it looks like candy (bright red) it feels like candy (squishy) its juicier than candy (juiciness) but its free and you pick it off a shrub! Brilliant!
I like the idea of avoiding fat entirely for a week before the trip, especially if you are going for the sensory-deprived introverted psychedelia. a lot of our mental and physical functionality is based on digestive health, and fat is hard to digest and lingers in the gut, slowing things down. I am spealing of the saturated "bad" fats. unsaturated like olive oil and raw walnuts and salmon are different.
how are you even aware of your stomach during your trip, except your ego trying to find a home there?
i always eat.. usally right before we drop... maybe 20 min to 2 hours before b/c i get so sick from acid most of the time.. if i dont eat i end up dry heaving or throwing up foam half way thru the night... one time i actually puked 5 times in one trip... food doesnt effect acid from what i know.. infact.. nothing but thorazine(and other anti-psychotics) effects acid im pretty sure... its not like pot and alcohol where eating will make you not be as high or make you come down...
oh man.... I was once fasting in a jungle and I started tripping out naturally. no psychedelics involved. everything was squirming, and really insane, so I decided to head home...which was difficult and took a very long time, and when I got there, I just ate a cheesecake and nachos. Best thing ever...........
The content of my stomachs never really seemed to matter unless I was tripping on an RC. I would often let the majority absorb under my tongue before I even thought of swallowing it anyway.
Ego or no-ego, you still have a brain, when it does not get adequate nutrients from the blood, its functioning starts to change, usually not for the better.
in order to digest food your body sends lots of blood to your stomach. for the same reason you wouldnt eat before a swim or a workout you should fast before and during a trip. the more blood in your brain the higher you will be - food in your stomach while tripping is like sailing with the anchor down. eating before or during a trip will actually bring you down and out of the trip(not completely but noticeably if you are paying attention to such things). if someone can not handle tripping on an empty stomach it is because they cant handle the trip. like stalk said, fasting is like tripping. make it easier for the lsd do its thing and fast for a trip. fruit is amazing on lsd. i usually wait till the end of my trip before i eat some fruit or just a very little to taste during the peak. make sure you drink enough water to stay fully hydrated. the body runs on electric like current and water is conductive. the better hydrated you are the more of a charge you can hold or higher frequency. this also goes for everyday sober life. if you take enough lsd you will not be hungry and will have enough energy to go a long time without food!
^yeah for real and if you tune into certain energy wavelengths, your body nourishes itself with all it needs from the universal raw energy that surrounds it. On acid, there are parts of your brain functioning that don't function very actively otherwise. Normal brain function requires the energy you get from food, but those processes are put on the back burner while you're tripping. You don't need the food because you're not using your brain the way you normally would, and when you start using your brain normally, it will naturally demand food again.
i never fast before doing acid, I always like to have something in my belly before i can put more in 8+ hours later. i've done it with mushrooms though, but thats only because mushrooms are a superfood. and about getting energy from wavelengths or whatever, i highly doubt that is the case. LSD acts on dopaminergic receptors, thats where your energy is coming from.
^not all acid trips are the same, friend. but anyway, you said the same thing another way-the energy comes from somewhere besides food. Whether what I said was literal or hallucinated, the need for food was not there for all practical purposes
