Has anyone been to the 420Jamfest in VA? Good bands, Good times. This is the 2nd annual. www.420Jamfest.com
i went last year. other than a rocket exploding above my tent at 6am, the scene was pretty mellow. i met a lot of nice folks out there. the camp ground people are congenial, the place is huge and mostly wooded, there's a swimming spot and showers. if i could i'd be there this year.
I didn't go last year, but this festival looks and sounds intriguing...I may have to check it out this year
I went last year. It was great! It's a small festival but will have Juggling Suns playing both nights. I enjoyed it because of it's location, the people, and the location. If I can get a ride I want to go.
The Juggling Suns are only playing one night, but 2 sets. You could try posting in the 420JamFest forum for a ride, just an idea.
i think i'll be going to this fest with my dad, my friend and her dad! BUT the only thing is that tickets are $40 plus 25x2 so that would be 90 for each of us...plus online servicing it'd probably be 100.. I just wish it wasnt $25 PER NIGHT for camping. that's lame! But.. I guess it will probably be worth it. peace.
From the website: "In addition to the ticket price, The Cove Campground will charge everyone $25.00 per person per event." why does it say "per event" then? are you sure?
Doreen. I have already bought my tickets and I'm planning on bringing my daughter with. How good of an idea is it to bring children to this event? I visited the website and there is suppose to be a kiddie camp, so it seems child friendly. I know it's last minute but if you could get back to me on this it would be great. Also, how far are the camp sites from the parking area?
My Lady and our 2 year old were there this year. OK, the music was great. But I would not call an event "kid friendly" with the nitrous, and every thing else you might want, but especially nitrous, vending completely in the open like nothing I've ever seen before at any festival or concert. And they either need to quit alowing dogs (yes, we took our two. One of the reasons we went. A festie that alows dogs? WOW!) or enforce the rule against fireworks. They often don't mix. All things considered, we had a good time, but I doubt we'll go next year. I suspect that the complete lack of festival staff security, and the consequent wide open nature of the contraband vending, will have that place overrun with undercovers next year.
