Father + Daughter = baby?

Yeah well I dont give a shit about their happiness, I am sure all the pedophiles, rapists and incest people are happy about what they do too..

Hmmm...I have some personal experience related to this. After not seeing my Dad for 20 years he came back into my life. The feelings were very weird and mixed and I didn't know what was typical of a father/daughter relationship. I thought it was normal to cuddle and all that stuff.
He tried to go further than cuddeling and I said no and he ended up sexually assaulting me, afterwards telling me he wanted to leave his current wife and my half brothers to move near me.
I think the father of the article is wrong. His daughter grew-up without a father and is seeking approval from him after his absence. He doesn't see her as his daughter and just sees her as much younger and attractive and having a lot in common.
This happens a lot. A biographical book was written on it. I want to say the book was by Alice Walker, but i am unsure

 

So we do agree that it is an unnormal relationship and that the father is somewhat ill ?

 

I don't really have a problem with this.

It's not like the court will manage to make them stop either, since they haven't stopped yet.

How anyone else feels about their relationship is irrelevant because it does not effect them.

If the father and daughter are actually happy together... then there would be no reason that they shouldn't be left alone.

It is just social conditioning and tradition that stops most people from becoming atracted to each other... which is fine... but with these two it appears that the social conditioning has not effected them.

As a matter of fact.. as i'm sure you know some families in the world still marry their cousins etc.. and in the past people have married their brothers and sisters... heck adam and eves children must have interbred... it's just the social norm for people to not fuck their fathers in this day and age.... but it doesn't mean it should be stopped or criticised if some people choose too.

 

They are both consenting though so it's not the same as rape and pedophilia...

Saying that it is wrong for them to do what they did is like saying it is wrong to smoke cannabis... neither of them effect anyone else..

 

What about their children? doesn't it affect their health?

 

If they want to bring a child into the world and raise it as best they can despite any health problems it might have then fine...

Do you think that mentally disabled people shouldn't have kids? How about a women with a long family history of almost certain breast cancer?

They should be allowed to have children... because there is no INTENTION to harm their child.... but if the child is unhealthy then its just the way off life.. as it would be with a child who develops cancer or a mental disability due to family history...

Comparing them to mentally disabled people who want to have a kid is just way off...
The Father & daughter have a complete choice to not have sex and bring children to this world with a high risk of defects/disease, while mentaly disabled people don't have a choice.

 

True, but i'm sure they where holding onto the fact that their child wouldn't be un-healthy... and i think it's okay for them to do that... as long as they don't INTEND to create an unhealthy child.

intent will not bring a healthy or unhealthy child really...the risk factor is there whether they intend it or not.

They are both consenting adults, so it isn't about rape or pedophilia, since she is in her 30's.

The story did say the police are keeping an eye on them...maybe to see if he grooms the next daughter for sex...that is what would worry me.

 

If she's in her 30's, but the time the next daughter is in her 30's, he probably wont be around.

 

I heard on the radio yesterday, that this is the 2nd child they have had together, but the 1st died from heart complications when it was a couple of days old.

In my opinion, the father abused his daughter in this case.

Sure she was an adult, but she still had some kind of unresolved attention that she had always longed to have from her father - and it sounds like she wanted to get some by taping into her sexual urges.

It's pretty unfair for the father to have consented to having sex with his daughter, who obviously has some psychological personal problems stemming from the very fact that her father was never around and her mother brought her up on her own.

Consenting adults, sure. But it's an unhealthy start to a romance and likelihood of either person's chances on healing the father-daughter relationship that still needs to be mended. Ya know?
