Giving blood

oh boy i gave blood today, and i felt very good about it. Until i fainted and passed out for a bit, that was one of the most confusing situations of my life.

I really need to go give blood now that I am no longer pregnant or nursing.

Fainting is soo odd- that weird "where am i ,and what happened" feeling right after.

 

I have iron issues, so they don't want my blood.

 

Donating plasma is a better idea for a number of reasons.

First it pays more. Second you can do it more often. Third, I believe plasma has more uses medically, though I'm not completely sure about that one.

 

We don't get paid for donations in Canada....that is why it is a donation.

 

i didnt get payed to do this, but anyways yeah i thought my iron levels were terrible too but then i found out that they are great, i still feel a little woozy and nauseous though.

 

Just get lots of fluid in your system...They didnt want my blood too.

 

i had bad luck donating blood in the past, so i don't anymore.


i don't donate plasma for that reason, plus i don't want to hang out with crackheads all day

 

Yeah, that is a major downside, but at the same time you can find some quailty merchandise to buy with your funds.

 

i think i'm finally eligible to donate now...hhaa

I donated for the first time almost a month ago
I thought it was more complicated but it was ok... I can't donate plasma because I've had babies but I'll donate platelets next time
and where do you get paid for donating?

 

i never gonna donate blood. they keep warehouses full buck. id rather get my own blood by huntin. americas favrite pastime. that is besides chevys

 

My blood god damn better save some lives! i got put on a gernie because of donating it.

 

Yay for you! My life was saved thanks to two blood transfusions. I really wish I could donate, but I'm no longer eligible. Have you thought about being a bone marrow donor?

 

I used to give blood sometimes when the Red Cross bus used to come to my high school and take everyone's blood. It was awesome because a) I got out of class and b) I felt really good and lightheaded in a good way afterwards. Plus, smoking right after you give blood gets you really high

 

it was my high school history teacher that pointed out how you could get drunk really easily after giving blood

 

I'm O positive, and try to go every other month, because well, I'm a giver.

 

I have actually thought about being a bone marrow donor, i just dont know what it entails. I like givers!

 

My uncle gives blood ever chance he gets, hes great. I am a little freaked out, people faint and shit at school blood drive and I've never been able to do it.
