Looking for bands that have subtle or no vocals and are good to meditate to or relax,
    thanks

Dead Can Dance may be suited for that. Most solo classical guitar music, also.

Not all instruments, but some of my favorite songs to listen to when stoned (or just to chill)
Legend Of A Mind - Moody Blues
Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast - Pink Floyd (instrumental)
Pillow Of Winds - Pink Floyd
Touch Of Grey - Grateful Dead

nights in white satin by moody blues is hauntingly relaxed
under my thumb by the The Rolling Stones
and some of the Doors music is calm (Riders on the Storm, People are Strange, etc...)

    Tangerine Dream
    Brian Eno
    Mike Oldfield
    Massive Attack

Those are a few that come to mind, all are pretty mellow/relaxing with little to no vocals for the most part.
